Jiang Bai - li's research into and contributions to the War of Chinese Resistance against Japan

Regarding Japan as the most dangerous enemy and foretelling Japanese aggression upon China, Jiang Bai-li drafted a national defence strategy of lasting resistance in company with offensive and defensive tactics, and designed aborative plans of national defence construction, including the collocation of military forces, the provision of military materials, the distribution of wartime industry and the implement of national mobilisation. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he advocated a mobile compaign theory and proposed to establish mechanized troops on a large scale to resist and attack the invaders, which contributed to the formation of the military theories during the Anti-Japanese War. At the same time, Jiang discoursed upon the inevitability of China's winning the Anti-Japanese War, which inspired the morale and steadied the determination of counterattacking Japanese to the end, thus laid a spiritual foundation for China's last victory in the War.
