Comparative Studies of Moral Consciousness in American Neo-realism and Post-Modernism Novels

This dissertation, starting with ＂moral＂, deeply explores the moral consciousness in the American ＂new realism no- vels＂ in recent years, analyses it combined with the specific works of new realism novelists, compares it with the adjacent Modern fiction and draws the conclusion that there is a strong sense of moral reconstruction in the neo - realism novels. This study will help us to better grasp the direction of contemporary American literature and the developing trend and also make the readers fur- ther think of the relationship between literature and morality.
