Translation of Tourist Text from the Angle of Register

Register is a language functional variety appropriate for actual use in particular speech situation in order to get a spe cific purpose. It is a comprehensive combination of the three parameters ： field of discourse, tenor of discourse and mode of discourse. In the process of translation of tourist text, the three parameters are important factors for a translator to determine his translation methods： the field requires a translator to focus the theme information or the feature information, the tenor requires a translator to add more contextual information and to delete the irrelevant information, and the mode requires a translator to apply the appropriate figures of speech.
