Analyses on the engraved patterns on the jades unearthed from the tombs at Fanshan and Yaoshan reveal that the thin-line-engraved mythical animals patterns of the Liangzhu society are of different styles and believed to be from different ethnic groups.The similarities of these patterns demonstrate that jade exchanges were conducted between the noble groups of the time at a broad scale,which is of significant sense to the study of the mutual relationships between the noble groups of Liangzhu culture.
