A Re-evaluation of the Basic Line of the Communist International in Directing the Great Revolution in China

The Great Chinese Revolution was carried out under the direct guidance of the Politburo, the Communist Party of the USSR and the Communist International. During this period, questions related to the revolution were considered on 122 occasions by the Soviet Politburo and 738 decisions were made. Almost all the basic lines, principles and policies guiding the Chinese revolution came from Moscow, and they were carried out in person by standing representatives and advisors also sent from Moscow to China; only a small proportion were executed by the Central Committee of the CPC, headed by Chen Duxiu, and these were carried out under the strict supervision of Soviet representatives. The Moscow line was basically correct during the years 1923-25; in the autumn of 1925, however, a right deviation began to take place, leading to the defeat of the Great Chinese Revolution.
