| 摘 要： | 委婉语是语言中的一种常见现象，也是人际交往中一种重要的语言手段。本文从语用学的角度来分析委婉语，探讨委婉语与语用原则之间的关系。委婉语违背合作原则各准则而产生，其选择及理解都依赖于语境，并遵循礼貌原则、闻接言语行为理论和面子论。

The Pragmatic Analysis of English Euphemism |

| Abstract: | Euphemism is a common phenomenon in languages. Its use largely depends on the context and has a great effect on daily communication. This paper analyzes euphemisms with the basic theories of pragmatics, showing the relationship between eu- phemism and pragmatics. Through violating the cooperative principle, it is closely related to the politeness principle, indirect speech act theory and face theory. |
