| Abstract: | Samuel Wells Williams was an important figure in the history of Sino - US relations in modern times, and was also the first sinology professors in the United States. He made a study of China from ideology, the spirit of the product, lifestyles and so on, and considered that China was a highly civilized country, but it was conservative in science and backward in daily lives . |
