| Abstract: | Dahaidao Road used to be the shortest way connecting Tulufan and Dunhuang. Because this road is very dangerous, all the other exploring attempts in the past failed to cover the whole distance. At the beginning of the new century, China's Archaeological Expedition for Dahaidao Road was able to pass through the whole way within eleven days in spite of numerous difficulties. This article is a quite detailed account of the whole course of this exploring activity. |
