Abstract According to the statistics, the distribution of eunuch native places in the Tang Dynasty is investigated and the forming reasons of the distribution are explained. the paper concludes that the eunuchs with northern native place were more than those with southern native place, and the traditional viewpoint that the Min and Ling was the main native places of eunuchs is not correct.
