汉画风伯形象及其功能探析

在山东、江苏等地的汉画像中均可见到一种力士鼓唇吹气的形象,这一形象就是汉代人塑造的风神风伯。风伯或出现于雷电云雨之神出行的队列中,或张口弄舌地吹掀屋顶,或与箕星为伴驰骋于月夜星空。通过对诸类图像的分析可以看出,汉代风伯神话是在先秦流行的箕星信仰与飞廉崇拜的基础上发展、演变而来的,而风伯画像作为汉代丧葬艺术的有机组成部分,又承载着佑助墓主灵魂升仙的宗教功能。     

寻访江西古文化遗址与古墓葬

经过20世纪80年代初期的文物普查,考古工作者在江西各地发现古文化遗址(包括古人类居住遗址、古城址、古窑址、古矿冶遗址等)800余处,古墓葬1400余座.近年来考古工作者陆续发掘一批古遗址和古墓葬,发现各种人类活动遗迹,出土有品类繁富的文物,为研究江西地方历史提供了丰富的实物资料,也为现代旅游业的发展提供了重要的历史文化资源.……     

Patent Places: Size Matters

In this paper I investigate the United States urban system of technical advance by analysis of metropolitan patent data. Residents of metropolitan areas obtain most of the patents awarded to Americans and the largest areas predominate, signifying that urbanization externalities facilitate invention. The advantages of large areas arise from lopsided concentrations of technologically intensive manufacturing and an uneven distribution of well-educated people. Location with respect to the traditional manufacturing belt also plays a role. Metropolitan residents in the manufacturing belt remain the most industrious inventors. The contribution of leading educational and research institutions to technical advance is manifest in small urban centers and outside the traditional manufacturing belt.     

湖北十堰潘口水电站三处古遗址的发掘

潘口水电站与陕南和川东接壤,是古庸国所在地.遗址地处河流边缘地带,长年受河水的冲刷,破坏殆尽,出土遗物甚少,文化内涵主要包含新石器晚期和东周时期遗存.东周时期文化面貌较为复杂,既有楚文化特征又具巴蜀文化风格,同时还包含陕南文化因素,这种多元文化因素,是与周边文化相互影响、碰撞形成的一种以地方文化为特色的多元文化.因此,我们认为潘口水电站淹没区的小府坪、红花湾、王家套等遗址是东周时期楚灭庸后的一处村落遗址.     

Regional Aspects of Collaborative Invention Across National Innovation Systems

Abstract

This article analyzes the association between intraregional collaboration and levels of invention in nine developed countries. Patent data of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) regions of nine inventive countries are used to determine if a significant positive correlation exists between reliance on own region partners and overall invention. Strong intraregional collaboration is also related to the knowledge bases of technologies and to the tendency for inventors to team up in the first place. Results show strong evidence that inventors in highly inventive regions co-patent more with own region partners and that they have a greater tendency to collaborate in the first place. Support for the hypothesis that information and computer technologies favour own region collaboration and that more biotechnology invention encourages external alliances is mixed. However, there is far less evidence that more biotechnology invention encourages more external alliances. Variation in the results between countries is interpreted as evidence that national innovation systems have distinctive internal locational attributes. The findings refute the assertion that strengthening aspatial network proximities has eclipsed the pivotal role of intraregional linkages in technological advance.     

Medieval Britain and Ireland in 2014

This section of the journal comprises two core sets of reports linked to work in 2014: on finds and analyses relating to the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) and on site-specific discoveries and reports in medieval Britain and Ireland (MB&I), with a selection of highlighted projects. For the PAS report, reviews on coin and non-coin finds and on specific research angles are presented. For MB&I, the Society is most grateful to all contributors (of field units, museums, universities, developers, specialist groups and individuals) who have provided reports on finds, excavations, field-surveys and building analyses for 2014.
