论荀悦的历史认识论

荀悦在前人的基础上 ,对历史认识的目的、方法、思维方式、检验标准等提出了许多有价值的见解。他阐明以史为鉴的必要性 ,将历史认识与取鉴资治有机结合起来 ;强调认识历史要透过现象看本质 ,通过区分类例 ,由此及彼 ,知微察著 ,去伪存真 ,获得对历史的理性认识 ;指出应以发展变易的观点审视历史 ,不能墨守成规 ,应当因时立制 ,分析事物时应看到其内部相互对立而又相互联系的不同方面 ;要求以儒家思想作为考察历史的理论原则 ,将主观认识与客观事实相参验 ,以真实作为检验历史认识的标准。荀悦的历史认识论值得认真加以总结     

评严复的社会起源说

严复的社会起源说总共包括三部分,即君主起源说、求存合群说,“群肇于家”说。前者配合维新运动,否定君权神授,具有积极意义。次者探索初民合群的动机,后者阐明家庭是社会的起点,各有合理成分。但在实际上,前者和后者并不一致。前者是西方契约理论影响下的产物,而后者却是冲破契约理论的锐利武器。总之,严复的社会起源说与他对西方契约理论的态度密切相关。

From 'industrial districts' to 'knowledge clusters': a model of knowledge dissemination and competitive advantage in industrial agglomerations

This paper integrates knowledge-based theories of the firm withgeograph-ical studies of industrial agglomeration to producea model that helps explain the competitive advantages enjoyedby proximate firms located in geographical clusters. We proposea hierarchy of specialized knowledge stocks at both firm andcluster levels and suggest that the comparative advantage conferredby knowledge resources at each level is protected, in part,by asymmetries in knowledge flows from level to level. The paperargues that codified component knowledge is more easily spreadthan firm-specific architectural knowledge. Nevertheless, overtime, agglomerations may develop a cluster-specific form ofarchitectural knowledge that facilitates the rapid disseminationof knowledge throughout the cluster by increasing the learningcapacity of proximate firms and thereby conferring cluster-specificcompetitive advantages.     

Chemical tracers of Lusitanian amphorae kilns from the Tagus estuary (Portugal)

In this paper, the characterization of Roman amphorae from the Porto dos Cacos (PC) and Quinta do Rouxinol (QR) workshops, in the Tagus estuary, dating to a period between the 1st and 5th century AD was carried out on the basis of instrumental neutron activation analysis data on 260 amphorae fragments, together with mineralogical compositional studies obtained by X-ray diffraction.

近代中国自由主义的代表人物胡适,对苏俄的看法经历了从热望到失望的变化过程.五四时期,胡适对苏俄保持了一种实验主义的审慎观察态度.20世纪二三十年代,虽然胡适表现出对苏俄的赞赏,但是仍未脱离其自由主义的根本立场.40年代,胡适激烈批评苏俄的专制,甚至在晚年对他一直追寻的社会主义梦想也一并放弃了.     

ELECTIVE AFFINITIES AND THEIR PHILOSOPHY

Elective Affinities: Musical Essays on the History of Aesthetic Theory collects a selection of Lydia Goehr's recent essays. In them she traces "a history of attraction and reaction … of music to philosophy, drama, birdsong, crime, film, and nationhood" (ix). Goehr examines the ways that philosophers, the ideas that they present, and works of art display "elective affinities". Her procedure is like that of an art historian who presents parallel slides to reveal visual affinities, even between artists who themselves were unaware of each other. Her analyses are erudite, lucid, and always suggestive, but what I found most admirable in Elective Affinities is Goehr's extraordinarily brave experimentation with a novel form of philosophy-writing, the adumbration of which is the focus of this review. Her book is strange enough to be genuinely magnificent and lastingly influential.     

清儒补三国地理志成就探析

清人补三国地理志者,有洪亮吉、谢钟英、吴增仅三家。总体来说,洪氏草创规模,缺陷最大;谢氏较洪氏有很大改善和进步;吴氏后来居上,成就斐然,且独创前表后考、按时分栏的"地理表"体例。综观三人成果,尽管存在诸多问题,但是基本复原了三国时期的政区情况。     

关于生与死的探讨与沉思

生与死是一个古老而又沉重的话题。要正确深刻地探讨这个问题,可能条件还不很具备。本人只是想借重前贤的智慧与奇思妙想,沿着他们思维的足迹,作进一步的思考与探索,就灵魂有无的问题,有无因果报应的问题,气与灵的问题,乃至宇宙本体的问题等,表述一些个人的体会与想法。
