Knowledge in Stories. On the Mutual Lucidation of Literature, Media, and Science. What are science studies for? The article faces this question by arguing, 1. that they can help to improve literary criticism, and 2. that such an improved criticism allows to recognize how knowledge, whether scientific or not, is linked with history and culture respectively. Both aspects are demonstrated by some remarks on Theodor Fontane's most famous novel, Effi Briest, and its allusions to the then newly discovered microbes on the one hand as well as to mediumistic phaenomena on the other hand.     

管窥刘辰翁文学思想中的“情真”与“自然”理念

刘辰翁是宋元之交著名的作家和文学评论家,他的文学思想丰富而又深刻,主要体现在诗文序跋和大量的评点批语中。通过对这些内容的分析与归纳,再联系他所生活的时代与个人的经历,可以看出其文学思想中具有鲜明的追求“情真”与“自然”理念。     

The emerging of "female citizen": The subject identity of modern Chinese women through literary practices

The construction of “citizen-state” relations in the intellectual world of modern China and the establishment of individual citizenship in political discourse have opened up a political and discourse sphere for modern women to strive for new identities, wherein some intellectually advanced women have managed to establish their individual identity as “female citizen” by carrying the debate on the relationship between women and the state with regard to their rights and responsibilities, and on the relationship between gender role and citizenship. Though the idea of “female citizen” was not provided with a political theory of practical significance, the subject identity of women, however, was repeatedly spoken about and strengthened in brand-new literary practices, resulting in a dynamic discourse of “female citizen”; in the meantime, disagreements concerning the concepts of “female rights,” “civil rights,” and “natural rights” have all helped create significant tension inside the related discourse sphere.     

地理的空间与文学的意象——以贾平凹小说创作为例

人地关系对文学创作具有深刻影响。贾平凹其人其文在创作理念、叙事方式、人物形象等方面都具有鲜明的地域性特征。本文以贾平凹代表性小说作品为例,考量了商州的地域文化地理要素对贾平凹小说创作产生影响的机制。论文认为,自然地理环境能够构成文学创作的自然意象,人文地理环境能够生发文学创作的民俗文化意象、丰富其地域文化意象,并促成便于营造意象的艺术风格及其嬗变。     

徐干儒学文艺观与创作关系述论

徐干具有鲜明的儒学文艺观,具体体现在注重个人创造的艺德观、以言为贵、言为德藻的重言观、以立志为先、博达中正的才学观等三个方面。它们是徐干自身儒家人格的集中反映,又对其文学创作产生了深刻影响,为考察魏晋之际儒风与文风的交融互动关系,提供了可资借鉴的范本。     

The Revolution’s Neverending Stories: Liliana Heker’s El fin de la historia

This article considers the legacy of 1970s revolutionary thought and political action within Argentine cultural production. Liliana Heker’s 1996 novel El fin de la historia is a fictional depiction of Montonera ‘Lucy’ Carazo, who was taken as a political prisoner, fell in love with and seduced her captor, and went on to collaborate with the military regime. Similar stories continue to arise and generate a great deal of debate in present-day Argentina, at the same time that Heker's novel itself continues to elicit controversial critical and cultural responses. This close reading of the novel thus situates itself within present-day debates regarding the ethics and politics of 1970s armed struggle as well as ongoing debates concerning individuals who abjure or betray their commitment to 1970s revolutionary causes. The analysis focuses on seduction and sexuality as a means of leading the novel’s protagonist astray from the cultural topoi of revolutionary martyrdom and heroism.

The Lantern-Bearers of the history of technology

Historians of technology need to focus more on studying human experiences of technological change rather than technological objects. Aesthetic debates over ‘realism’ and ‘romance’ in the later nineteenth century suggest that greater attention to the inward world of lived experience can enhance our understanding of historical experience. The well-known writer Robert Louis Stevenson experimented with a variety of new forms of romance to write about contemporary events in the South Seas with primary attention to inward experiences of technological change, as opposed to accounts of technological objects.     

Les Fausses Confidences et “L'intendant de Qualité”

In Pierre Bourdieu's Les règles de l'art, Gustave Flaubert and Frédéric Moreau emerge as the ancestors of twentieth-century intellectuals, whose relative autonomy rests on a complex interplay of economic and political factors. What happens if one uses Bourdieu's discussion of L'éducation sentimentale as a model for analyzing an earlier pair of novels that also map out Parisian culture and society from the point of view of a young man who fails? Balzac's Illusions perdues and Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes offer a panorama of Parisian culture that, at least at first glance, bears a striking resemblance to the world of L'éducation sentimentale as seen through Bourdieu's lens.     

论北齐文士的地理分布——以“待诏文林馆”籍贯为考察中心

“文林馆”是北齐后期设置的文学机构,曾经带“待诏文林馆”官衔的文人前后有68人。由入馆文人籍贯可以推断,北齐文士主要来自于北方士族,尤其是山东士族。北齐文坛以北方士族为主体,在加入南方士族之后,邺下出现了建安之后的第二次文学兴盛。北齐文士地理来源分布的不平衡是由于政治形势的变化造成的,文士来自于不同的地域,客观上为南北文学在此时开始相对成熟的对话提供了条件。
