三维激光扫描技术在安岳圆觉洞10号龛保护中的应用

圆觉洞石刻区10号龛是安岳石窟最精美的龛窟之一。本文介绍了三维扫描技术在圆觉洞10号龛的应用流程,主要包括三维数据采集,纹理信息采集。通过数据处理加工,获得照片般逼真纹理的仿真三维石窟模型。该模型可以用于圆觉洞10号龛保护性窟檐的设计等工作。     

南京祖堂山南唐3号墓考古发掘的主要收获及认识

祖堂山南唐3号墓位于顺陵西北约100米的南唐陵园西墙之内,其砖室平面呈"中"字形,由甬道、墓室、耳室等部分构成。尽管墓葬早年多次遭盗扰,但仍出土银、玉石等质地遗物40余件。根据墓葬规模、形制、出土遗物的特点以及墓葬在陵园内的位置、遗骸鉴定结果等,墓葬时代应为南唐,墓主极有可能是南唐后主李煜昭惠国后周氏,陵号懿陵。该墓是20世纪50年代初南唐二陵发掘后祖堂山南唐陵区的最重要考古发现。     

Object-based landform delineation and classification from DEMs for archaeological predictive mapping

In this paper we report the results of an experiment with automated landform delineation and classification from digital elevation models (DEMs) using object-based image analysis (OBIA). Archaeologists rely on accurate and detailed geomorphological maps to predict and interpret the location of archaeological sites. However, they have been using high-resolution DEMs primarily for visual interpretation and expert-judgement classification of landform. OBIA can perform these classifications much faster and in a more objective fashion. The method was tested on a study area in the south east of the Netherlands. It is concluded that OBIA is a suitable technique for quick and objective delineation of landform, but needs an improved conceptual framework adapted to the local situation and archaeological questions to better identify and interpret the derived landform objects.     

Lightly Reinforced Walls Subjected to Seismic Excitations: Interpretation of CAMUS 2000–1 and 2000–2 Dynamic Tests

In this article a study is presented of the inelastic seismic performance of two 5-story reinforced concrete wall specimens, which were tested in the context of the CAMUS 2000 program. The structure has been sized and detailed following the French PS92 code. To investigate the simplifying assumptions made in design, a 3-D refined nonlinear analysis was conducted. Particular aspects of the behavior of the two tested specimens are presented and then test results are compared with numerical predictions. The experimental-analytical comparisons not only demonstrate the accuracy of the time-history analysis model, but also allow obtaining more detailed information about the behavior of the specimen when it is subjected to seismic excitation. The significant effect of degradation of the stiffness and strength of the wall suggests that it is always important that design procedures are derived from numerical modeling and experimental observations.     

Retrospective Speculative Philosophy: Looking for Traces of Zizek's Communist Collective in Emerging Christian Praxis

Abstract

In the closing chapter of Living in the End Times, Slavoj Zizek endeavours to "look for traces of the new communist collective in already existing social or even artistic movements." This article explores what Zizek might see if he were to turn his cultural-critical gaze towards emerging Christianity, which is presented as an artistic and social, as well as religious (or irreligious), "movement." His work is increasingly used by emerging church practitioner Peter Rollins to retrospectively explain his own thought and practice. This article examines some of the ways in which Zizek's atheological speculative philosophy and John D. Caputo's theology of the event are impacting contemporary Christian praxis.     

De Bow’s Revolution: The Memory of the American Revolution in the Politics of the Sectional Crisis, 1850–1861

In January 1861 editor James D.B. De Bow advocated the secession of southern states from the union as he proclaimed to his readers that white Southerners “are mainly the descendants of those who fought the battles of the Revolution, and who understand and appreciate the nature and inestimable value of the liberty which it brought.” While editors on both sides of the Sectional Crisis over slavery in the 1850s and 60s claimed to be “custodians of the legacy of 1776” as they used the American Revolution symbolically in their rhetoric. By focusing on De Bow’s Review, a widely read and influential journal during this fight, we can gain a better understanding of the specific terms by which Southerners were encouraged to think of themselves not as rebels but as guardians of “the true American character.”     

High‐Resolution 3D Marine Seismic Investigation of Hedeby Harbour,Germany

Offshore 3D‐seismic acquisition has been a standard for high‐precision structural imaging in the oil and gas industry for many years. Recently this technique has been adapted by only a few teams to the resolution required for archaeological marine investigation. In contrast to sonar techniques, the 3D‐seismic method produces images below the sea‐floor. We investigate the harbour of the Viking age proto‐town of Hedeby in Northern Germany with the SEAMAP‐3D system. SEAMAP‐3D allows for rapid acquisition and employs an automated data processing sequence. We observe a wealth of archaeologically relevant detail and compare our results with previous work.     

HOUSING: FROM NIGHT WATCHMAN STATE TO WELFARE STATE

This paper illustrates and evaluates some of the features of the Danish and European research of the history of housing policy and relates these to the main results and perspectives in the author's doctoral thesis ‘Housing: From Night Watchman State to Welfare State – Construction and Housing Policy in three Danish Towns, 1850–1930’, 2006. The paper argues that the roots of the welfare state's housing policy are to be found in the far more prominent part which the public sector got to play in the Danish society as a result of the crises following World War I and the conjunctural repercussions throughout the 1920s.     

Ceremonial objects or household items? Non‐destructive μ‐XRD2 and μ‐XRF studies on three Neolithic hematite axes from Qatar

Three small stone axes were collected by the joint Qatari‐German South Qatar Survey Project (SQSP) at two places close to the eastern and western coast of Qatar in autumn 2012. Associated with settlement remains, flint artefacts and pieces of ?Ubaid pottery, the implements have been dated to the fifth millennium BCE. Non‐destructive μ‐XRD² and μ‐XRF analyses could, for the first time, prove the use of hematite as the raw material for the manufacture of these tools in Arabia. The absence of major hematite sources in the region and the special characteristics of hematite — a unique metallic shine of polished pieces and the blood‐red colour that appears during the manufacturing process — suggest the highly symbolic character of these objects.
