加拿大二线城市华人新移民经济融合研究——“三重玻璃效应”与移民向下层社会流动

论文对加拿大二线城市卡尔加里和爱德蒙顿华人新移民的主要特点、移民动机和融合过程中的主要障碍进行了分析,探讨了新移民在加拿大向下层社会流动的问题。研究显示,新移民在经济融合过程中遭遇多方面的障碍,尤其在就业和语言方面。他们在移民加拿大之后,经历了去技能化和以前的学历和工作经验贬值,促使他们向下层社会流动,而这种状况反过来又阻碍了他们的融合进程。华人新移民的负面经历可以归因于由玻璃大门、玻璃房门和玻璃天花板构成的"三重玻璃效应"。加拿大政府应采纳融合框架政策,除承认移民的流动自由外,还要保证他们能享有与其他加拿大人一样同等的公民权益。

2013年3月,国家社会科学基金特别委托项目、中国社会科学院创新工程重大专项《21世纪初中国少数民族地区经济社会发展综合调查》在北京正式启动。我国现有1亿多少数民族人口,民族地区的发展直接关系到2020年我国全面建成小康社会的大局和未来中国梦的实现。这项调查对于全面摸清民族地区经济社会各领域的情况,帮助国家科学制定民族地区发展规划,具有重大意义。此次“大调查”立子项目20多个,主要在西藏等民族自治区开展,以民族区域自治县或民族乡为调研点。其中子课题《西藏洛扎县经济社会综合调查》,由中国社会科学院民族学与人类学研究所、中国社会科学院经济所、西藏社会科学院、西藏大学、西藏自治区党校、云南民族大学等学术机构的11位学者组成,于2014年7月赴山南地区洛扎县进行了田野调查,全面了解该县的经济社会发展现状,在拉康镇及色乡、边巴乡、扎日乡开展了大量入户访谈,获得了更加数量丰富、内容准确的社会经济发展的数据和案例。
