Throughout the past dynasties of China, porcelain has always been used by royalty in their palaces. On one hand they were articles for the daily use and appraisal of the aristocrac)~ and on the other hand, ritual implements used in ceremonies honouring the ancestors of the royal families. The high status and prestige of porcelain were unrivaled.
