宁夏固原为丝绸之路东段北道必经之地,境内丰厚的文化遗存,见证着曾经繁荣的丝路盛况。本文作者介绍了固原早期丝绸之路沿线遗址—回中宫、瓦亭驿、朝那古城、固原古城及其出土文物,旨在证明固原丝绸之路的重要性。     

“食货派”的史学理论与方法

食货派的史学理论与方法具有自己的特色,具体表现如下:接近唯物史观,却不是唯物史观的社会史观;从探寻中国社会形态的演变到新经学的研究旨趣;重视史料但不忽视理论的治史主张;倡导分工合作的治史路径等。他们的史学思想对推动社会史论战之后学风的转变起了一定作用,在四十年代中后期也一度产生了积极影响。但抗战爆发以后,食货派未能从史学发展中去理解和把握学术研究的本质要求,没有对唯物史观认真总结,致使其史学思想黯然失色。     

古砚奇葩——砚台展珍品赏析

武汉博物馆与上海松江博物馆联合举办的古砚奇葩——砚台珍品展,于5月1日在武汉博物馆展出。此次展览的展品时间跨度从西汉起,迄止近代,砚质包括石、陶,瓷、澄泥、紫砂、青铜、铁、玉、木、水晶等,制式有辟雍式、风池式、太史式、玉堂式等,形状有方、圆、天然、神兽动物、瓜果花卉、钟鼎器物等,构成了一部形象的中国古砚发展史,也是中国砚台文化的一次较全面的展示。现从展品中撷取26方,稍作赏鉴,以飨观众。

敦煌是中华民族文化艺术的宝库,它既有光辉灿烂的历史,又有丰富的历史文物,同时也是畅通丝绸之路、保全河西的关键。因此,被列为中国历史文化名城。     

从玉配饰的变化浅议中国古代玉文化的传承与变迁

玉配饰作为玉器的一个种类,不仅从诞生迄今从未间断过,而且品种不断翻新、款式繁多,是历朝历代能工巧匠们施展才华的载体。各时期最具特色的工艺特点也都在这些玉佩饰中得以体现,玉配饰的变化反映了中国古代玉文化的传承与变迁。     

Where dogs,ghosts and lions roam: learning from mobile ethnographies on the journey from school

This paper draws on mobility research conducted with children in three countries: Ghana, Malawi and South Africa. It has two interlinked aims: to highlight the potential that mobile interviews can offer in research with young people, especially in research contexts where the main focus is on mobility and its impacts, and to contribute empirical evidence regarding the significance of everyday mobility to young people's lives and future life chances in sub-Saharan Africa. During the pilot phase of our research project on children, transport and mobility, the authors undertook walks home from school with teenage children1 We use the terms children and ‘young people’ interchangeably in this paper. When we asked young people aged ca. 12–18 years from the three countries at our Malawi inception workshop about terminology, they expressed no concern about the use of the term ‘child’ for people in their teens. View all notes in four different research sites: three remote rural, one peri-urban. As the children walked (usually over a distance of around 5 km) their stories of home, of school and of the environment in-between, gradually unfolded. The lived experiences narrated during these journeys offer considerable insights into the daily lives, fears and hopes of the young people concerned, and present a range of issues for further research as our study extends into its main phase.     

By Any Means Necessary: Urban Regeneration and the “State of Exception” in Glasgow's Commonwealth Games 2014

When compulsory purchase for urban regeneration is combined with a sporting mega‐event, we have an archetypal example of what Giorgio Agamben called the “state of exception”. Through a study of compulsory purchase orders (CPOs) on the site of the Athletes' Village for Glasgow's 2014 Commonwealth Games, we expose CPOs as a classed tool mobilised to violently displace working class neighbourhoods. In doing so, we show how a fictionalised mantra of “necessity” combines neoliberal growth logics with their obscene underside—a stigmatisation logic that demonises poor urban neighbourhoods. CPOs can be used progressively, for example to abrogate the power of slum landlords for social democratic ends, yet with the increasing urbanisation of capital they more often target marginalised neighbourhoods in the pursuit of land and property valorisation. The growing use of CPOs as an exceptional measure in urbanisation, we argue, requires urgent attention in urban political struggles and policy practice.
