邓颖超同志和我们永别了!她的名字将与周恩来同志的名字一样,与天地长存,与日月共辉。她为党、为国家、为无产阶级革命事业坚贞不移、鞠躬尽瘁的高风亮节为党和全国人民树立了楷模,成为激励我们加快社会主义现代化建设的强大精神力量。邓颖超同志生前,特别是在她担任六届全国政协主席期间,非常关心政协文史资料工作。她的谆谆教导给了文史资料工作队伍许多温暖、勇气、光荣感和责任感。     

关于转型时期中国公民社会的考察

20世纪70年代末以来,为中国公民社会的产生和形成提供了一些基本条件,日益深化的市场化社会存在与生存方式,为公民社会在中国的发育作了最基本也是最重要的制度提供与精神重塑。全球化、网络化的时代背景,为中国公民社会的发育与成长创设了跨越疆域阻隔的比照与互动机制。大量社会组织蓬勃发展,为公民社会的成长提供了必要的载体,逐渐成长的公民社会推动着政治生活的民主化、科学化。     

长江三角洲区域可持续发展系统的构建——以南京沿江区域为例

本文以科学发展观和综合集成法为指导,在长江三角洲区域发展重点转向沿江区域的大背景下,针对沿江区域的资源属性、产业结构与发展阶段,以南京为实证,构建了南京沿江区域可持续发展系统,其框架结构为目标子系统(沿江区域发展总体规划)、中央处理子系统(资源协调开发、产业协调升级、空间结构协调优化)、支持子系统(生态环境建设、社会环境建设)和约束子系统(制度、政策与法律法规制定,宏观调控与市场监管),并阐述了其具体的建设内容与运行流程,以期为推进长江三角洲沿江区域的发展提供有益的思路与行动框架。     

"近代城市发展与社会转型"学术研讨会综述

近代以来,城市发展引领着中国社会转型,社会转型以城市发展为先驱,为中心,为标识,为推力。而社会转型的过程,同样对于城市发展有着反馈与推动的作用。在城市化问题和社会转型话题愈来愈受人们普遍关注的当下,出席东华大学与上海市档案馆联合主办的“近代城市发展与社会转型”学术研讨会的学者们,以城市史与社会史复合研究为视野,分别就城市发展与社会变迁、城市管理与城市文化、工商金融与城市比较、社会群体暨重要人物、重大事件等方面进行了深入研讨,试图探寻历史的经验和教训,为现实提供借鉴与启示。     

跨越边界:华侨在中国抗战、太平洋战争中的行动和意义

抗日战争爆发以后,海外华侨华人积极参与。他们跨越侨乡、国家与民族三个边界,投身于中国抗战及太平洋战争中的同盟国联合作战。在这一过程中,他们联系所在国家与地区不同民族的人民共同行动,不但为中国的抗日战争,也为全世界的联合抗日做出了贡献。这段经历对于华侨本身也深具意义,为日后全世界华侨的团结以及他们与祖国人民、与侨居地人民增进感情和交流打下了基础。     

网络环境下地方文献的收集与保护工作研究

主要从文献载体、文献构成比例、文献资源分布、文献利用率等角度探讨了网络环境下地方文献的特点,同时阐述了地方文献有利于政府队伍及政治体制建设与完善,为当地的科学研究与社会经济建设提供基础性情报服务,并且有利于当地的文化建设,为家乡宣传提供了丰富、多样化资料。最终,主要从三个方面探讨了地方文献的收集与保护工作。     

徽州祖先谱系的构造与祖、宗、族观念

谱系并不仅仅是满足村居宗族的收族作用,它也具有与宗族社会互构与映照的关系。谱系构造以人们的祖、宗、族观念为结构基础,此种祖、宗、族观念与国家—族群—宗族的历史联结密切相关,其远祖及始祖象征着姓族的神圣来源以及与国家的关联,也反映了主流族群的认同意识;宗祖与族祖则是国家制度下的世居权与户籍地位的象征。徽州谱系以祖、宗、族三层次结构为典型,谱系结构也在与现实社会关系互动中构造了一个以宗族为中心的社会结构。     

中国与世界反法西斯战争

反法西斯的第二次世界大战是人类历史上最伟大的事件之一,是一场改变世界的正义的解放战争,是20世纪世界历史的转折点。中国是反法西斯四大国之一,中国抗日战场是世界上开辟最早、持续时间最长的反法西斯战场,是世界四大反法西斯战场之一,不仅为世界反法西斯战争的胜利做出了巨大贡献,也为战后国际新秩序的建立、为战后世界的和平与发展做出了重大贡献。这场战争也改变了中国的面貌:为中国取得独立与解放、为新中国的诞生奠定了基石,成为中国走上世界政治舞台和战后新中国崛起的起点与开端。

网络华文文学的兴起与全球化存在密切关系。因特网为海外华人用汉语创作与发表文学作品提供了远较过去为多的机会 ,并促进了海内外华文作家之间的交流。网络华文文学的未来在很大程度上取决于英语与汉语、中华传统文化与其他民族文化、科技与文学之间的互动。     

治理术与地理学:研究述评与展望

治理术作为福柯后期研究的一个重要概念具有丰富的内涵,已被广泛用于西方地理学的研究。本文在福柯的著作和西方相关文献的基础上,梳理了治理术的概念,归纳了西方地理学对治理术的主要应用。福柯的治理术主要包含治理技术和治理理性两个向度;治理术的分析框架以生命政治、计算和治理目的为支柱;与这一分析框架相对应,西方地理学对治理术的应用集中在以下三个话题:族群与生命政治,领土与计算,认知/空间合理性和城市管治。治理术的相关概念和方法在解释中国的单位制度和户口制度、阶级斗争和空间非均衡发展、分税制和城市规划及加强中国地理学的理论化和学术贡献上具有重要意义。     

油气地缘经济与中国油气安全

本文从地缘政治观念向地缘经济观念发展的观点出发,通过对全球油气中心随时空转移和变化的分析,着重阐述了冷战以后全球形成的"石油心脏地带"和"内需求月形地带"及"外需求月形地块"的油气地缘经济格局以及有关国家围绕争夺中亚油气资源和跨国运输通道构成的内外两个三角之间的油气地缘战略竞赛,在此基础上讨论了中国油气安全所面临的处境与应采取的对策。     

TEXTS AND TRADITIONS IN CHINESE AND COMPARATIVE PHILOSOPHY

This article considers Quentin Skinner's critique and methodology in his seminal essay “Meaning and Understanding in the History of Ideas” vis-à-vis the current methodological debates in Chinese and comparative philosophy. It surveys the different ways in which philosophers who work with ancient Chinese texts in those related fields deal with the tension between textual contexts and autonomy and how some of the errors criticized by Skinner under the mythology of coherence, mythology of doctrines, mythology of parochialism, and mythology of prolepsis might apply to those fields. It argues that Skinner's insistence that understanding a text requires recovering its author's intended meaning by studying its linguistic context has limited application to Chinese and comparative philosophy because those fields’ most important texts are not best understood as means of communication by specific historical authors with intended messages to convey to readers. These texts are instead the means by which Chinese traditions perpetuate their respective beliefs and practices. Instead of being circumscribed by authorial intent, the meanings of traditional texts are dynamic and co-created in the process of producing, reproducing, and consuming texts as well as in the evolution of practices that also constitute each tradition. The meanings received by the audience are never exactly what authors or transmitters intended but have been transformed by each audience's own concerns and interests, even if the audience attempts to grasp what the former intended. Using the Five Classics and the Analects as examples, this article illustrates how such texts’ purposes to teach and perpetuate the practices that constitute a way of life determine their meanings. Understanding is not merely cognitive but practical as well. The meanings of such texts are not static but dynamic as traditions evolve. The debates about methods of reading and interpreting ancient Chinese texts are also debates about the nature of Chinese traditions and struggles over their futures.     

… OF SHERDS AND SOIL AND SEALING LAYERS, OF COBBLING AND COINS…

Summary. From 1985 to 1987 an experiment was conducted alongside an excavation to examine the effect of trampling on cobbled layers, and to see if the movement of small objects could change their stratigraphic relationships. An experimental area was excavated and backfilled with soil and a cobbled layer containing plastic markers, flower pot sherds and coins. The area, part of a path, was subjected to daily trampling, and was excavated after seventeen months, using normal excavation methods; all the soil was dry sieved. The results show varying recovery rates and horizontal movements for different types of object, and demonstrate the need for further investigation of the causes and implications of differential movement of buried objects.     

MYTHS AND MEANINGS OF IMMIGRATION AND THE METROPOLIS

A number of trends in recent immigration to Canada are discussed: the scale of contemporary movement; the transformation of national origins over the past generation; the diversity of entry classes and the lack of any singular immigrant condition; the remarkable contraction of immigrant destinations to a few large cities; the contribution of immigration to population growth and housing demand in these metropolitan areas; and the distinctive geography of the various entry classes, with higher-status arrivals disproportionately located in Vancouver. The remainder of the paper considers and rejects two common myths in the discussion of immigration: first, the myth of an immigrant underclass, and second, the myth of an immigrant overclass. Using research from Vancouver associated with the Metropolis Project, the first myth is challenged from an analysis of Census data that emphasizes the social context of immigrant life and upward mobility; the second myth is shaken by a qualitative methodology that reveals the unexpectedly fragile experience of a number of business immigrants. Certaines tendances relatives à l'immigration récente au Canada sont examinées: l'envergure des déplacements actuels, les changements dans l'origine nationale des immigrants au cours de la dernière génération, la diversité des catégories d'immigrants admis et, par conséquent, l'absence d'une seule condition pour tous, le fait que les immigrants choisissent essentiellement de s'établir dans quelques grandes villes, la croissance de la population et la demande en logement attribuables aux immigrants dans ces régions métropolitaines, et les choix géographiques distincts des immigrants selon leur catégorie à l'admission, comme c'est le cas de Vancouver, qui accueille un nombre disproportionné d'arrivants de statut élevé. Dans le reste de l'article, les résultats d'études effectuées dans le cadre du Projet Métropole permettent d'examiner puis de réfuter deux mythes communément associés à l'immigration au Canada: l'existence d'un sous-prolétariat et celle d'une classe dominante d'immigrants urbains. D'abord, l'existence d'un sous-prolétariat est rejetée suite à l'analyse de données tirées du recensement concernant le contexte social entourant les immigrants et la mobilité sociale ascendante de la plupart des nouveaux arrivants. Ensuite, une méthode qualitative met en lumière une découverte surprenante: la fragilité de l'expérience de la prétendue classe dominante – les immigrants qui travaillent dans le monde des affaires.
