20世纪二三十年代的专业期刊与史学革新

20世纪20年代末期,专业史学期刊的出现是现代史学制度化建设的重要内容.在此基础之上,民国史学在人才培养方式、学术表达方式以及传播方式等方面都有了新的变化.学术社群的凝聚力凭借期刊得到加强,史学研究的专业化、标准化、团体化趋势加快并有了实质性的内容,新兴的学术发表行为更是在一定程度上改变了民国史学研究的整体形态.但处于动荡的社会中,期刊主办者受到各种客观、主观条件的限制,加之史学界内部派系纷争,沟通不畅,二三十年代的史学期刊常常处于困境当中.     

建国初期农具改良政策及实效分析

建国初期,为了迅速恢复和发展农业生产,在中央政府的领导下,我国农村开展了全面的农具改良工作.政府通过建立农具管理和服务机构,兴办工厂,开展宣传教育、发动群众,大量增补旧农具,积极推广使用新式农具.农具改良在一定程度上提高了农业生产技术,改进了生产效率,增加了农业产量,同时奠定了农机产业的基础,为后期的农业机械化进程做了铺垫.由于对农村的具体情况和农具的实际需求了解不充分,农具设计和制造水平低,新式农具质量较低,价格偏高,技术传授和维修服务差,经营管理相对落后,新式农具推广使用未能达到预期的目标,发挥应有的作用.农具工作政策和措施的失误,不仅造成了人力和物力资源的浪费,也损害了政府在群众中的形象.     

Environment, disease and mortality in early Virginia

Early Virginia (1607-24) was a nightmarish world of disease and death, perhaps uncurpassed in the annals of English colonization. Typhoid fever and dysentery visited Jamestown in recurrent epidemics killing 30 per cent or more of the colonists with each onslaught. Yet Jamestown endured because the leaders of the Virginia Company misapprehended the nexus between the estuarine environment and water-borne, non-immunizing diseases. Each summer, death stalked the town as invading salt water pushed up the estuary and concentrated pathogens in the town's water supply. The prevention of disease and death required the abandonment of Jamestown and relocation into healthier niches, which occurred with the dissolution of the Virginia Company in 1624.

Joseph Retinger's conception of and contribution to the early process of European integration

The origins of the European Union are especially connected to its so-called founding fathers. One of them was Polish politician Joseph Retinger, who represented a functionalist point of view. This article aims to throw light on Retinger's contribution to uniting the Old Continent. The method applied in this article is a comparative analysis of Retinger's ideas with the early phases of integration. Many significant initiatives taken with a view to the future integration of Europe, such as the founding of the European League for Economic Co-operation (1946), the Congress of Europe held in The Hague (1948), the founding of the European Movement (1948), or the establishment of the Council of Europe (1949) to give just a few examples can all be associated with Retinger's activity. The author concludes that the importance of Retinger's European activities (concerning the early period after the Second World War) were so huge that he should be ranked among the pioneers of the modern European Union.     

20世纪六七十年代美国的新右派运动初探

新右派也被称为“新右派联盟”或“极端保守主义右派”,是20世纪六七十年代出现在美国社会上的一支重要力量,它以保守主义知识分子为核心, 中产阶级和蓝领工人为主体,以“新生命,亲家庭,亲社会,亲美国”为基本政策,在对老右派发展的基础上,逐渐成为美国政坛的一匹黑马。新右派不仅对六七十六代的美国社会作出了贡献,对此后美国的政治,经济,化等诸方面也产生了深远的影响。但由于传统社会学家和史学家对其重视不够,因此,中国史学界对于新右派的论几近空白,所留遗案颇多,针对这种现象,配方结合时代背景,力图较为全面地恢复新右派的历史面目。

Charlemagne's peaches: a case of early medieval European ecological adaptation

What happened to the many ‘Mediterranean’ fruits the Romans brought to north‐west Europe when the empire that supported their dissemination ended? Charlemagne's capitulary De villis called for the cultivation of various fruit trees, including peach (Prunus persica). That fruit hits the sweet spot between plants that were rare in early medieval northern Francia, like date palm, and those that were commonplace, like plum. Thus, the peach is an excellent proxy for Charlemagne's imperial and ecological aspirations. Using both written and archaeobotanical evidence for peaches in Francia, this article analyses how adapting exotic plants to northern climates served the purposes of early medieval rulers.     

Climatic trends of the mid-latitude upper atmosphere and ionosphere

Long-term variations of electron concentration in the mid-latitude ionosphere, independent of heliogeophysical conditions and the meteorological characteristics of the atmosphere, have been determined. It is suggested that a long-term decrease of atomic and molecular oxygen concentrations in the mid-latitude thermosphere is the most possible reason for the trends found in ionospheric parameters.     

唐代气候变化与唐代历史兴衰

本文支持唐代是一个温暖湿润的时期。温暖湿润的气候使唐代农牧业界线北移,农耕区扩大;农业经济作物种植北线北移,复种指数提高,产出的多样性更明显;农作物单产量提高,粮食总产量也提高;水利建设成效显著。由于国力强盛,使南方地区的开发有了保证。气候的温暖湿润为唐代农业经济的发展创造了条件,农业经济的发展为社会经济的整体发展和繁荣奠定了基础。本文赞同８世纪中叶气候有一个由暖转冷过程的观点,认为８世纪中叶的气候转寒造成了中国北方游牧民族南下压力增大,北方游牧民族纷纷入主中国北方建立区域性王朝,安史之乱是这个南下进程开始的标志性事件。经过南宋１２世纪的再一次寒冷突变后,北方游牧民族则开始了入主中原建立大一统王朝的历史。     

20世纪80年代的婚姻法律与婚姻家庭变迁

颁布于中国全面改革开放起步时期的1980年《婚姻法》,反映了国家在婚姻家庭领域的法制重建以及社会转型带来的家庭婚姻制度的变化。在社会上引起较大反响的主要有三个方面:第一,明确了夫妻财产制,人们的个人财产权利意识增强;第二,实行计划生育政策,但由于重男轻女思想的影响,使性别选择问题更突出地表现出来;第三,明确把感情破裂作为离婚的条件,但“感情破裂”的衡量标准很难掌握,司法部门在处理离婚案件时仍有很大困难。总之,1980年《婚姻法》是一部承前启后的法律,它既是对1950年《婚姻法》的继承与发展,又通过20年的司法实践,为2001年《婚姻法》的修正案的制定作了法律上的铺垫。
