正Tsogo Village is situated at the head of the Basum Tso in Kongpo Gyamda County of Nyingchi City.Access to the lake is only possible by passing through this village, and about 40 kilometers to the north can one also find Xing Tso Lake, a place just begging for exploration.The village of Tsogo itself is quite popular among visitors, most notably due to its favorable geography, with nearby famous mountains making it possible for the entire area to be surrounded in lush forests in the middle of broad

Tibet Establishes First National Special Fish Reserve The Basum Co National Special Fish Aquiculture Reserve,the first national fish aquicultural reserve of Tibet,was established in Gongbo Gyamda County of Lhasa.The reserve reduces the adverse effects of human activities,mitigating the decline of fishery and the deterioration of the aquatic ecosystem.     

Three Visits to Yamzhog Yumco Lake

The Yamzhog Yumco Lake is one of the three great holy lakes in Tibet. It is located in Nanggarze County in southern Tibet at an elevation of more than 4,400 meters. It covers some 800 square km and is the largest freshwater lake in the lake basin zone on the northern side of the Himalayas. In normal times, people visiting Yamzhog Yumco Lake take the route via the mountain of Gambalha to Nanggarze. On this route, people can only see a small part of the lake as they approach, and I have taken this route many times that I have lost interest. Moreover I wanted to see other aspects of the lake. Hence, I paid three visits to the Yamzhog Yumco Lake in 2004.     

Housing Culture of Dongba

In late June of 2002, when I stayed in the Zuogong County seat with Tugar,chief editor of Records of Qamdo,we drove to Junyong Village, which is the site of the Dongba township government,along the Yuqu River Valley. TSONGO,A SMALL LAKE IN NORTH TIBET

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has the most lakes of any area in China. The total surface area of the modern plateau lakes accounts for 52 percent of the total surface area of lakes in China. There are countless smaller lakes around the Serling Tso, which somehow unexpectedly became the biggest lake in Tibet after the sudden rise of the water level in 2004. One of them, Tsongo, has a shoreline shaped like a dancing fairy with curvy lines,     

My Two Contacts With Kangrenboqe

Mountains That Screen Lhasa
