<正>Farmers and herdsmen, after a busy year bringing in the harvest, turn their attention to domestic issues such as maintenance and the rebuilding and redecoration of their houses...in other words, they just want to make their homes comfortable as they prepare to face winter. The yellow wheat seeds and straw fragments are clouding the sky and falling separately to the flooragain. Looking inside the cluster of greenhouses, a variety of fruits and vegetables has become mature. Others, just sprouting, appear very fresh. In harvest season, walking across the fields, the interior of Tibet is teeming with life.  相似文献

EDITOR'S NOTE The water birds wintering in Lhunzhub are peculiar to the many wetlands subject to special protection in Tibet. With a view to preventing overspending and destroying the hilly areas and the grasslands, the State has been working hard to seek protection of the wetlands, and the Forestry Bureau of Lhunzhub County seeks to control soil erosion by planting trees and gross. The problem is that the lacul.farmers are still ploughing the.fields deeper and deeper so as to increase their grain output, which endangers the living conditians of those water birds that survive by hunting for leftover grain in the fields, and the black-necked cranes especially are now on the verge of extinction.  相似文献

1.Introduction This paper will primarily focus on historical migrations to and within the Chang Tang (byang-thang) region of Tibet.Traditionally,‘Chang Tang’ refers to the enormous northern plateau of Tibet that covers more than 2.5 million km2 of land mass, more renowned globally for its wildlife than human settlements. In this article however,Chang Tang is geographically defined as Ngari (mngav-ris) and Western Nakchu (nagchu) Prefectures of Tibet. In popular imagination in the Asian region, including China,Chang Tang is conceived of as a wilderness with a sparse and recent human population.  相似文献

In the past, a letter sent from Tibet to inland China often took almost half a year to arrive. In Tibet, people had to walk a long way, and then waited in a long queue for access to a fixed phone. Because of the poor state of telecommunications in Tibet in those early days, people in Tibet heard and saw little of the wonderful world outside. This in turn created an even greater apparent distance between Tibet and that outside world.  相似文献
