A hymn that praises the Sun god belongs to the earliest literature work of Mesopotamian civilization and it expressed a hearty praise of the absolute being, the Sun, the god of brightness of the ancient Akkadian people of 3^rd millennium. It is one of the earliest religious and literature heritages written in Semitic language (2600-2500 B.C) by the Akkadian people, the Semitics in the early Mesopotamia, who began to borrow the Sumerian cuneiforms to write their own speeches. The two exemplars of the hymn were excavated from two distant places: one came during 1963-65 from Tell Abu-Salabikh, the ruin of an unknown ancient city, 12 miles from the northwest ofNippur. A photograph of the main but damaged text, OIP 99 - IAS, no 326, without a handwritten copy, and a hand copy of a fragment of the hymn, OIP 99 no 342, were published by American scholar R. Biggs in 1974I. The language of Abu-Salabikh is the earliest Semitic (c. 2500 B.C), possibly related to the later Old Akkadian (2300-2100 B.C). In 1974-1975, a generally complete text of this hymn but rewritten by the local Semitic scribes in Ebla dialect was discovered in the ancient city Ebla (Tell Mardikh)2 in Syria by an Italian archaeologist team. German scholar D. O. Edzard hand-copied the original text in 1984 as The Archiv Reali di Ebla Testi V, no 6 and did an initiative transliteration3. In 1989,  相似文献

A history of the gold and silver wares reflects the development of the ancient handicraft, culture and aesthetics. The history of the Chinese ancient gold and silver handicraft is colorful and each period has its own distinguished character. The simplicity of Shang and Zhou. the vividness of the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States. the boldness of the Han. the foreign style of Wei Jing and the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the vigor of Dang, the elegance of Song and Yuan and the delicacy of Ming and Qing, all makes the audience clap their hands in admiration.  相似文献

The upper reaches of the Three Rivers of western Sichuan~1 is one of the areas which boast ancient Tibetan and Qiang pillboxes. Danba county~2 was and is well known for the architectural culture of ancient pillboxes. The county was hence famed as "the country of a thousand pillboxes." According to the documents I have in hand and the fieldwork I made in the area, the pillboxes of Danba county are the most numerous, widest in distribution, most complete in function and type, and the clearest and longest in historical development among all counties. Danba is the most suitable place for studying ancient pillboxes and also for solving the mystery of the architectural culture of ancient pillboxes in the area of the Three Rivers.  相似文献

Being called as the "queen of science-fiction" by the readers, Ursula K Le Guin contributes her world-known Earth- sea book series to the literary field. Influenced by Lao Tze's Taoism and ideas from anthropology, she frequently analyzes the conflict between individual morality and society construction. This short story, her early work winning the Hugo Award, depicts that an Utopian future city named Omelas in fact hardly exists because this city hides an evil secret about a poor child. The sharp contrast between prosperous Omelas and the feeble-mind- ed child illuminates an ancient controversial topic about the contradiction between utilitarianism and public morality: through it, the author dissects the conflict of individual morality and public maximum happiness pointing out that any society must conceal a dark side though it seems perfect as Utopia.  相似文献

The ancient city of Lhasa sits in a basin screened by high mountains that, Ithink, are holy. When I mentioned what was on my mind to a senior Tibetan, he agreed with me, explaining that these mountains face the city with their peaks as a token of respect for Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. The only exception, he added, is the Chagyia Garbo (Droppings of White Eagle) Mountain on the southern bank of the Lhasa River. As it faces the holy city with its back, a ritual is held on the 29th day of the second Tibetan month each year to bom-  相似文献
