The symposium for the 30th anniversary of the publication of China's Tibet Magazine and the20th anniversary of the establishment of China Tibet Online was held in Beijing on Nov.22,2019.Changpa Phuntsog,vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress attended the symposium and delivered a speech.Zhang Yijiong,executive deputy minister of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC).

For Tibet,2021 has certainly been an important year.The autonomous region in southwest China marked the 70th anniversary of its peaceful liberation,celebrated the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China(CPC)along with the rest of the country,and held a regional CPC congress,a five-yearly event.

On September 1,2005, more than 20,000 workers, farmers, herdsmen, cadres and people of various ethnic groups gathered at the foot of the Potala Palace to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). The Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Central Military Commission jointly signed a telegram of congratulations, warmly celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the TAR.     

40th Anniversary of the Founding of TAR Celebrated

The Tibet Autonomous Region celebrated its 40th anniversary on September 1,2005.From August 27 to September 3,2005,a 57-member Central Government Delegation headed by Jia Qinglin （member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee）were in Tibet for the celebration.

Ngapoi Recalls the Founding of the TAR

Ngapoi Ngawang Jigmei, as a full-power delegate of the local government of Tibet led by the 14th Dalai Lama, played a vital role in the signing of the 17-article Agreement on Methods for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet in 1951. Encyclopedia of Tibet The book came off the press at a time when the whole country was celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The publication of the book, printed in colors, is a grand event in the history of cultural undertakings of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
