古巴导弹危机与20世纪60年代的美苏关系

古巴导弹危机是冷战时期的一个重要事件,人类第一次直接面临着核战争的威胁。这场危机是美苏进行激烈较量、争夺的必然结果。在紧张对峙的同时,美苏都在寻求和解的办法,力图避免事态的恶化,最终的结果是相互妥协,使世界得以从大战边缘蹒跚而过。     

冷战中的老挝--肯尼迪政府与1961-1962年老挝危机

印度支那地区（越、老、柬三国）是美国冷战时期遏制政策中的重要一环。当时美国政府阻止共产主义“扩张”的半月牙遏制线包括朝鲜半岛38°线、台湾海峡、印度支那17°线。冷战期间,在这条遏制线上风起云涌,先后爆发两场战争（朝鲜战争、越南战争）、三次危机（1955年台海危机、1958年台海危机、1961一1962年老挝危机）。肯尼迪政府在处理老挝危机时显示出其灵活的一面,并取得了一定的成功,但其本质仍是其前届艾森豪威尔政府奉行的“中立是不道德”原则的变种.其根本目标仍在与东、西方冷战中掘取第三世界国家对西方的亲近或支持。老挝危机的政治解决对越南问题产生了深刻的影响,导致肯尼迪政府在越南干涉的重大升级,从而使美国政府在越南越陷越深。
