二里头文化一期遗存主要来源于当地的王湾三期文化,并可进一步区分为早晚两段和划分类型。新砦期遗存属于二里头文化一期早段,称为二里头文化一期新紫型。二里头文化一期是夏文化早期遗存。     

试论殷墟文化分期与殷墟青铜器分期的关系问题

殷墟作为都城应始于武丁而非盘庚 ,早于武丁的三家庄期商文化应当从殷墟文化分期中分离出去 ,相应的殷墟青铜器分期中也不应包括郑振香、陈志达先生所划分的第一期早段和杨锡璋等先生的第一期。实无将殷墟青铜器分期独立于文化分期以外之必要 ,郑、陈先生依据文化分期所做的青铜器分期 ,相比之下更清晰明了     

旅游文化及其相关范畴、命题的理论透视

从现有的“旅游文化学”著作以及一些旅游研究文献来看,人们对旅游文化、文化旅游以及文化旅游资源等诸多范畴的使用,还存在着概念上的显著差异。本文认为,这种差异一方面体现为对这些关键范畴的内涵理解上的误区和使用上的轻率,一方面体现为人们对旅游文化现象的本质、历史和形态的了解还有所局限。本文试图以学科视野来审视这些范畴的科学内涵,并进一步探讨了一些值得关注的理论命题。     

陕西榆林地区夏代文化遗存考察

本文依据目前发现的考古资料,对陕西榆林地区的夏代文化遗存作了初步分析,考察了文化因素及其来源,认定了文化性质,对该地区夏代文化的内涵和特征提出了新认识。     

科学建构非物质文化遗产理论体系——非物质文化遗产相关概念和若干专业问题的再思考

民众对非物质文化遗产的认识越来越深入,但是概念及若干专业问题还有待厘清。非物质文化遗产没有"缓冲区",不具"唯一性"而具"游移性",非物质文化遗产中"文化空间"与作为非物质文化遗产组成部分的"一般场所"是不相同的概念,遗产的评定不受"生源地"所限。保护"非物质文化遗产"的规范性文件中使用"代表性"或"代表作"有其立法用意,非物质文化遗产法与知识产权法保护的客体(对象)既有相同点也存在区别,而"非物质文化遗产"与"非物质文化遗产产品"也是完全不一样的概念。     

Readjusting Cultural Codes: Reflections on Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism

In this article I seek to apply the notion of anti-Semitism as a cultural code, which I initially developed 25 years ago with relation to the antimodernist trends in late-nineteenth-century Germany, to the phenomena of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism today. From the 1960s anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism formed part of a larger ideological package consisting of anticolonialism, anticapitalism, and a deep suspicion of US policies. In the eyes of members of the developing countries, Jews became a symbol of the West and legitimate targets for hatred. Thus, the position on the Jewish question, even if not in itself of paramount importance, came to indicate a belonging to a larger camp, a political stand and an overall cultural choice. The question is whether the position towards Israel today, which has become a central issue for the European left, can still be considered a cultural code or whether it rather indicates a more direct anti-Jewish attack, above all as a result of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.     

Narratives and Bodies: Culture beyond the Cultural Turn

This article offers a fresh assessment of the current condition of ‘culturalist’ international history, exploring its achievements and limitations, taxonomising its key threads and charting an agenda for the future. It argues that at its heart lie two core concerns, one with narratives and the other with bodies. Thinking in this way allows us both to tie together work which initially appears disparate – endowing a bewilderingly diverse mass of scholarship with coherence and shape – and to better grasp the project's current trajectory. It analyses how these two issues rose to prominence, discussing not only the merits and failings of previous ‘culturalist’ work but also linkages with shifting debates in historical theory in the aftermath of the ‘postmodern’ turn. It explores the contours of the important work currently being conducted under these rubrics, drawing attention where appropriate to cognate scholarship in the discipline of International Relations with which international historians might profitably engage. Understanding the significance of these two core concepts provides vital orientation in contemporary intellectual debates within international history and enables us to push them on further.     

Cultural Events and Cultural Tourism Development: Lessons from the European Capitals of Culture

One of the major forms of cultural tourism development undertaken throughout Europe has been the staging of a growing number of cultural events. The event of European Capitals of Culture (ECOC) is probably the best example of the new trends of cultural tourism in Europe, which is therefore used in this article to demonstrate some of the key issues surrounding the event-led strategy for cultural tourism development. Based on case study, historical approach and document analysis, this study reviewed systematically the cases, documents and literatures of ECOC over a 20-year period. The research findings point to a number of ways in which the ECOC constitutes a boost for the development of cultural tourism in terms of realizing experience economy, enhancing city image, facilitating urban regeneration, promoting cultural production and consumption, as well as establishing partnerships.
