中世纪西欧教会法对教会与国家关系的理解和规范

本文依据中世纪西欧《教会法大全》讨论当时教会与国家的关系。中世纪的教会法学家和教皇们有一种二元论的政治理论 ,认为世俗政权和以教皇为首的教会领导机构应该有各自不同的势力范围 ,前者负责国家的治理 ,后者负责宗教事务。他们以为这一理论有利于教会和国家保持良好的合作关系。为了划分清楚教会和国家的权威范围 ,教会法学家把教会法界定为独立的法律体系。在复杂的现实政治中 ,对世俗权力和宗教权力做这种区分是极为困难的。     

‘Ex utroque sexu fidelium tres ordines’– The Status of Women in Early Medieval Canon Law

Canon law provides for various categorisations among Christians. In early Christian and medieval sources it is often not very clear whether a category is only for men, or for women as well. Taking as its starting point the question of lay status this article intends to clarify terminological difficulties. It touches upon the question of female members of the clergy and the greater equality of monks and nuns. The status of queens and empresses is also discussed.     

Motifs in The Arabian Nights and in Ancient and Medieval European Literature: A Comparison

This paper is a contribution to the ongoing debate about the origins of parallel motifs in The Arabian Nights and in ancient and medieval popular and learned literature about exotic lands of the East. This preliminary survey focuses on seven related motifs: the magnetic mountain, the congealed sea, flying griffins, automata and genies, the mysterious walled city, the living island, and the underground river. This paper is intended as a contribution toward a motif-Index of The Arabian Nights in order to facilitate further comparative study of the motifs involved.     

中国文学和文化的翻译与传播:问题与挑战

中国文学和文化向西方传播,翻译很重要.但翻译牵涉的不光是语言,更多的是对文化的理解.从历史的角度来考察,中西方文化的传播和交流困难重重,所面对的主要问题和挑战在于:中西方文化确实存在很多差异;中西方研究者多强调各自文化的独特性,不大承认彼此之间有交往沟通的可能.因此,具体深入地去探究中西方文化的异同,才能促进彼此的了解沟通,达到文化传播的目的.
