近代中国学人视野中的亚当·斯密和马克思

在西学东渐和追求国家富强的过程中,亚当· 斯密和马克思的学说传入中国,并对近代中国学界产生了重要影响.学界对二者在经济学史上的地位,承继性和一致性、差异性及其原因,两者背后的道路选择等方面进行解读和探讨.近代学人的这种书写,既是介绍和宣传社会主义、马克思主义的需要,也是翻译和研究经济史的重要内容,同时在一定程度上表现了学界对两者代表的路径所涉及的中国经济发展道路的探索和选择.     

1949年以来中国近代经济思想史研究述评

1949年以来,中国近代经济思想史研究取得丰硕成果,作17种以上,论1165篇。在研究深度方面,随思想的解放步伐而逐步加深。在今后的研究中,应进一步解放思想,加强基础研究、“条条”研究、“块块”研究、比较研究和资料建设。     

世界历史进程中的马克思世界历史理论

经济全球化的日益发展对历史学提出了新的理论挑战,这就是究竟如何避免各种片面和局限,构建科学和系统的世界历史阐释体系。这一时代要求进一步凸显了马克思世界历史理论的科学性和重要性。马克思世界历史理论是世界历史发展进程中的产物,同时也深刻揭示了世界历史形成和演变的内在规律,为我们认识、理解和把握世界历史的整体发展指明了基本方向。它通过深入揭示生产力因素在人类社会发展过程中所发挥的决定性作用,为我们深入理解人类历史和改造世界提供了科学的理论与方法论支持,并且为当代的世界史或全球史的研究和编纂提供了具有方法论意义的科学指南。     

Observations on the Nature and Culture of Environmental History

This article aims to consider the robust field of environmental history as a whole, as it stands and as it has developed over the past twenty‐five years around the world. It necessarily adopts a selective approach but still offers more breadth than depth. It treats the links between environmental history and other fields within history, and with other related disciplines such as geography. It considers the precursors of environmental history, its emergence since the 1970s, its condition in several settings and historiographies. Finally it touches on environmental history's relationship to social theory and to the natural sciences as they have evolved in recent decades. It concludes that while there remains plenty of interesting work yet to do, environmental history has successfully established itself as a legitimate field within the historical profession, and has a bright future, if perhaps for discouraging reasons.     

论王符的史学思想

王符将历史学看做经验性和思想性的学问,其对象是"前言往行",其任务是"蓄其德"和"明真";史学的功用在于增智修德、学习往圣先贤和掌握历史与未来。历史发展是有规律的,人民才是历史的决定力量,精神的善恶是历史发展的动力。历史认识主体应该具备正确的态度,应该选择有价值有意义的客体,典籍是其中介;历史认识方法就是观察;其检验的标准一是理论的即要符合往古圣人的意见,二是实际的即依据历史主体的行为。史学研究法主要是历史辩证研究方法、历史批评研究方法和历史个案研究法。王符史学思想的性质是政治的、民间的。     

人文的和整体的历史：西方经济—社会史初论

经济一社会史的英原是“Economic and Social History”,所以准确的翻译应是“经济与社会史”或“经济—社会史”。经济—社会史研究在欧美各国历史学界和高校经历了几十年不同程度的发展,至今仍方兴未艾。现在,我们愿借此机会对经济-社会史的来源、发展现状和基本特征做一概要性的述评,以进一步推动和开拓我国的历史学研究领域。     

时代、实践与主流意识形态:当代中国思想史研究的三重维度

当代中国思想史研究必须把握三重维度:一是探究思想变迁与社会发展的关系,准确把握当代中国思想史的时代维度,因为时代维度决定着当代中国思想发展的主题,决定着当代中国思想发展的历史进程及其方向;二是探究社会实践与思想变动的互动关系,准确把握当代中国思想史的实践维度,因为实践维度决定着当代中国思想发展的高度,也决定着当代中国思想发展的理论深度;三是探究主流意识形态的变迁,准确把握当代中国思想史的主流维度,因为主流维度决定着当代中国思想发展的核心和主脉。     

《中华人民共和国经济史》第1卷若干问题研讨会召开

由吴承明、董志凯担任主编的《中华人民共和国经济史》第 1卷 ( 1 949～ 1 952 )已由中国财经出版社于 2 0 0 1年 1 2月出版。全书以 84万字的篇幅 ,全面、详实地研讨了建国头三年的经济发展过程。第一卷的出版在学术界引起很大反响 ,受到好评。接续下来的《中华人民共和国经济史》第 2卷 ( 1 953～ 1 957)已由中国社会科学院立项 ,即将上马。为了总结经验 ,进一步推动建国初期经济史的研究 ,由中国社会科学院经济研究所中国现代经济史研究室主持 ,于2 0 0 2年 7月 2 4日召开了《中华人民共和国经济史》第 1卷若干问题研讨会。中国社会科学…     

History of Political Thought as Detective-Work

This paper offers practical guidance for empirical interpretation in the history of political thought, especially uncovering what authors meant and why they wrote what they wrote. I thus seek to fill a small but significant hole in our rather abstract methodological literature. To counter this abstraction, I draw not only on methodological theorising but also on actual practice—and on detective-work, a fruitful analogy. The detective analogy seeks to capture the intuition that we can potentially find right answers but must handle fragmentary evidence that different people can plausibly read in different ways. Placing the focus on evidence, and on combining different types of evidence, suggests that orthodox categories like ‘contextualist’ and ‘Marxist’ too often accentuate differences between scholars. This paper instead highlights core principles that unite us—ideas that underpin good textual interpretation across all ‘schools of thought’.
