The Influence of Court Politics Critique on the Studies of Borderland History： the Ming Dynasty＇s ＂Three Expeditions to Lu Chuan＂ （“三征麓川”） as A Example ＂Three expeditions to Lu Chuan＂ was an important event concerning the Ming dynasty＇ s south＇- western borderland stability and security. Due to the lack of knowledge about the southwestern bor- derland history and geography, as well as some political reasons, the historians during the Ming and Qing dynasties disregarded the exploration on the historical fact.

Study on Tax Ingots in Ming Dynasty
Silver used as currency started in Ming dynasty. The official policy for silver using was at the beginning suppressive then gradually encouraging. The turning point was the use of silver as a substitution for actual paying of crops for land tax. This study shows although only few samples were found during last century, through the study of these specimens there still remain some traces of the transformation of silver as currency in China＇s. monetary system. Those land tax ingots are the evidence of this process.
