新近出版的张晋藩先生的《中国近代社会与法制文明》一书对中国近代法律的演变、移植、改革、转型和中华法系、中华法制文明的更新与再造等问题,从实证研究和理论分析的层面进行了全面、系统和深入的探讨。限于篇幅,形成本文的仅是笔者最主要的感受,即该书所体现的充分的学术积累、深刻的学术自觉和可贵的学术创新风格。     

论《察世俗每月统记传》对中匡近代报业和近代社会的影响

尽管显在的社会影响微乎其微,但是作为中国历史上第一份中近代报刊,《察世俗每月统记传》对于促进中国近代报业的进步乃至中国近代社会的发展却有不容忽视的意义。这不仅表现在它直接影响了近代洋人的办报活动,还表现在它冲破了封建主义限禁,把报刊的近代化形式最早传入中国,从而揭开了中国近代报业的序幕。同时,它还首开“西学介绍”之风,并把基督教带到东方,客观上促进了中西化的交流。
