A set of buried objects was found in Jin Shi, Hunan province in the May of 1984. The identification shows that two of them are ranked the nation‘s 1st rank treasures. Analyzed by their shape and decoration, they are of Yuan dynasty and bear the features of those of Song Dynasty. The designs on them are rather complicated, such as the dragon and phoenix, coiled grass, meander pattern, linked beads, and plum blossom, which are usually found in the objects of Yuan dynasty. The refined craftsmanship and gorgeous decoration demonstrate fully the features of Yuan dynasty.  相似文献

Since the Yuan Dynasty, Tibet has been formally part of the territory of China. By keeping abreast with developments in the hinterland, Tibet has maintained close relations with other provinces in China and kept up to date. Mutual interactions were frequent i.e. Tibetans presented tributes to the central government and vice versa, the central governments bestowed largess on Tibetans. The largess included Buddhist statues, porcelains, silks, satins, and fabulous jade ornaments. In book entitled "Memoir of Qing Taizhong", it was recorded that Emperor Shunzhi had once given the Fifth Dalai Lama an agate cup, two crystal cups, six jade cups, and one jade kettle.  相似文献

The annalist Manetho, a native Egyptian scholar-priest who lived in the 3^rd century BC during the reign of Ptolemy II (285-246 BC), wrote a history of Egypt in Greek and divided the history of ancient Egypt into 30 (or 31) dynasties. He began with the unification of Egypt, making a Thinite king of Upper Egypt, whom he knows as Menes, the founder of the First Dynasty (ca.3100-2890 BC). Menes is said to have built his capital at the junction of Upper and Lower Egypt, in a strategical key position. The new capital was called the "White Wall", it became later known as Memphis. There a great temple was built, dedicated to the god Ptah, who remained the patron deity of the city throughout its long history. Up to now no monuments of the First Dynasty have been found that would bear the name of Menes. Therefore, modem archaeologists hold that Menes should be identified with Narmer, the king whose relics have been unearthed at Hierakonpolis. Some scholars even doubt that Menes was a true historical figure, after all.  相似文献

Jin He 金和 (1818–1885), a pioneering poet of mid-nineteenth century China, wrote in a colloquial style strongly influenced by the ballad tradition. Jin’s style was prose-like and broke all the structural limitations of earlier poetry in order to create formal innovations, while at the same time experimenting with new subject matter. Liang Qichao 梁啟超 (1873–1929) and Hu Shi 胡適 (1891–1962) considered Jin He and Huang Zunxian 黃遵憲 (1848–1905) to be the major poets of the nineteenth century. Jin had a major impact both on other late nineteenth-century poets and on the “Poetic Revolution” that led to the rise of modern Chinese literature. However, his verse has been largely ignored ever since. Among the most striking contributions Jin made to the literary transition in the nineteenth century was his innovation in presenting the female knight-errant 女俠 (nüxia). This invented image of the female knight-errant reflected a new tradition of women’s voices in the literary works of his time, and had a great impact on the representation of swordswomen in modern literature. This paper examines how the image of nüxia in Jin’s writing is distinct from those found in past poetry, how the female knight-errant in Jin’s works inverts conventional gender norms, and how Jin’s female knight-errant image is both connected with and distinct from those in other literary forms.  相似文献
