本从社会学角度研究青藏铁路对青藏高原地区社会变迁和社会现代化的影响,试图通过对青藏铁路一期工程(即西宁-格尔木段)投入运营以来对青海社会结构转型及社会现代化进程的影响的评价,说明青藏铁路建设的意义决不仅仅限于经济方面,而是在很大程度上使青海走上了社会现代化之路。同时本通过青藏铁路二期工程(即格尔木-扭萨)建设的社会效益预测,说明这一工程作为西部大开发的重点工程之一,其意义也决不仅限于经济方面或是单纯的“政治线”,它必将成为推进该地区现代化进程的强大力量。     

青藏铁路建设的历史考察

建设青藏铁路是中华民族的百年宏愿,凝聚着共和国几代领导人和铁路建设者的心血和汗水,实现了西藏各族人民追求美好幸福生活的千年期盼。但青藏铁路的建设却走过了一段非常不平凡的历程,其间经历了1956～1961年第一次上下马,由于战备需要1965年又考虑开工修建,两年徘徊时期再度下马,直至1994年第三次上马并于2006年建成通车。建成后的青藏铁路是藏族同胞与全国各族人民的连心路,是雪域高原迈向现代化的腾飞路,也是勤劳智慧的中国人民不断创造非凡业绩的奋斗路。

拉滨铁路及其对中东铁路的影响

日俄战争结束后,日本帝国主义从俄国获得了中东铁路南部支线即南满洲铁路铺设权。此后,南满洲铁路和中东铁路成为日俄势力在中国东北地区冲突、竞争的象征。为争夺中东铁路承担的物流运输以有效地牵制或削弱苏联势力,日本着手铺设拉滨铁路。1934年拉滨铁路完工后,逐渐发挥预期效果,承担不少物流运输,而中东铁路的经济功能随之下降。由此可知,拉滨铁路的铺设目的,就在于牵制中东铁路以减少苏联在中国东北地区的势力。

Railway Built on permafrost

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway traverses a 550-km-long section of permafrost, from Xidatan, on northern slope of the Kunlun Mountain, to Amdo, at the southern foot of Tanggula Mountain.
