<正>Setting foot on the eternally snow-covered Qinghai-Tibet national road and heading to the"roof of the world",my gaze was unavoidably fixed on the vast but harsh conditions in the north-west of the Tibetan plateau. This is the"Changtang uninhabited land"to which people so often refer. It has been about 20 years since I last encountered the"uninhabited land"of North Tibet.Surprisingly, however, today I find this mysterious land has undergone an earthshaking change.  相似文献

正01"I am 24 years old this year and have two kids. The company I work for produces grape wine, and I myself work in the production department. I'm on the job seven hours a day, and I already have five years of experience. I come from this village, so unlike many of my colleagues who live in communal factory-provided dorms, I can go home every day to be with my family. It's really great  相似文献

Tibet, the most magical snow-land plateau on the planet, has given birth to the most mysterious and ancient civilization in human history: Shangshung. "Yung-drung Bon Religion" ("Bon" for short) originated in the ancient Gangdise Mountains of the Shangshung area (now the Ngari area of Tibet) and is the oldest religion in Tibet with thousands of years of history.  相似文献

<正>In 1946,I was born in Lodzong, the downtown area of today's Lhorong County in Chamdo, and I am 71 years old this year.Looking back,I guess you could say my family(which included just my mother and me)was nothing special. At that time in 1960,the Tibet Autonomous Region today was not yet founded.Lodzong was officially called the Lodzong Preparation Committee of Liberation, which was often shortened to simply the"Preparation Committee",and it was this committee that arranged for our formal study in mainland China.  相似文献

A Colorful Life
As we publish this issue, it is in early summer in Beijing. Whenever I walk out of my office close to the chief avenue, Chang'an, I get lost in green trees and blossoming flowers.Chang'an Avenue is the most bustling street in the city. While cars speed along it toward their own destinations, Tian'anmen Square, east of my office building, is a different scene: while the old  相似文献

The high plateau enjoys clear, fresh air and the sunbeams down from the high blue sky to bathe the magnificent landscape in sunlight. It seems the mountains and the rivers of Gyirong are colored in strikingly vivid hues, enabling everything in the landscape, either living or inanimate, to appear bright and even brilliant. Standing in the downtown area of Gyirong County, facing the mountain valley to overlook Gyirong in the distance, I see a zigzagging road has been constructed on the southwest flank of the city to access Gyirong Valley.  相似文献

At the northern flank of the downtown of Gyirong County, a mountain valley heads from south to north directly to Mt. Mala. Overlooking the valley to the north, the snowy mountain range pops into view. In the past the valley was the traffic artery for the Gyirong to communicate with the outside world. After the 1960s, Gyirong built its modern road. This valley was naturally erased from people's memory. On the way out of the valley two mountains, opposite to each other, are facing the extensive Gyirong basin. One of the mountain precipices features a small platform, known as "Ngawang Gyaye" (meaning "the name of the father"). Twenty years ago, it was at this point that I, with my fellow members of an archeological study, found the well-  相似文献

On hearing several times that there is a thousand-year-old walnut tree in Nyamo Town in Shigatse, I was curious, as I had never heard of a thousand year old tree in my life, except for cypress and ginkgo in my hometown. I have not had a chance to have a look at it but heard lots of both legends and true stories about this tree. In awe and expectation, I paid a visit to see the thousand-year walnut tree. I remember in my hometown there is an old tree which people referred to as the "divine tree". Every time 1 visited this divine tree, my heart was always in awe. I even dared not to get too close and only watched it from a distance because I was afraid of giving any offense to the holy tree. People say every divine tree would change to another kind. But in my memory, since I was a child, I did not see any trees change species, which I actually found disappointing.  相似文献

I still remember the first time I stepped into Are's Tibetan Restaurant back in 2011 when I had just come back from my first trip to Tibet. With memories reverberating in my mind,I started to explore Tibetanstyle restaurants in Chengdu in the hopes of finding some relief through enjoying a simple bowl of buttered tea while reminiscing about the sweet drink served in a warm tea house on the Barkor Street. For the past nine years,I have gone to Are's place with friends every now and again and can never shake the feeling that we are eating and talking in a nice restaurant in Lhasa.  相似文献
