正"跟我走,就在前面。"一位危地马拉城的陌生大姐,为了给我指路,已经带我行走了很长一段路。十几分钟前,我拿着地图找这位大姐问路,不会英语的她用手势比划了一下,看我满脸迷茫后,果断拉着我开始去找我想要到的地方,我清楚地记得她原来要去的方向和带我去的方向是相反的。一路上她用西班牙语和手势与我交流,时不时发出爽朗的笑声。我一下子感受到了那种旅行中久违的温暖和快乐。这和我进入到危地马拉时的糟糕情绪完全不一样。或许,这就是危

西藏的和平解放是从昌都起步的。这个藏东小镇从解放到发展的历程几乎是整个西藏半个世纪历程的缩影。我作为参加昌都解放的女兵,亲眼目睹了西藏人民从黑暗步入光明的历程,那是以无数藏汉人民付出的努力和牺牲为代价换来的。

<正>70年,白驹过隙,忽然而已。2015年,中国人民抗日战争胜利70周年,要说的很多,想说的很多,从年初我们就开始着手准备。面对浩如烟海的资料、面对周遭此起彼伏的声音,迟迟没有动笔,因为纪念这一场70年前的胜利,我们怀着太多的敬畏之心。历史远比虚构的故事更加动人心魄。那些发生过的,正在发生的,不是传说。暮秋的树梢上挂满了流年。     

灯的精灵--关于光明与黑暗的民族学研究

严格地说,这不是一篇探讨民俗学基本理论的文章,而是作者用瑞典语写成的博士论文——一项从民族学、民俗学角度出发的关于瑞典照明史研究的综述。惟其如此,这篇文章对中国的民俗学研究才更有启发意义。没有详细的史料堆积(对许多中国读者来说,瑞典人历史上经历的照明技术的改变并非他们感兴趣的热点问题),但是作者关于选题的学术背景和理论框架有详细的、轮廓清晰的描述。自然地理条件给瑞典带来的戏剧性的冬夏光照条件的差别,使作者能够相对容易地将照明技术对人们日常生活节奏和对时空感知的影响凸现并加以分析。通过对瑞典照明史的个案研究,作者在不同的层次上提出了可以观察和切入民俗生活与照明技术之间关系的角度,这些研究视角都可以为观察和分析中国历史上与当代的民俗文化现象提供很多启发。作者提出的理论上和方法上的思考,如技术与社会生活的关联、技术进步的悖论、图片资料作为一种特殊的文本等都在近年来成为文化研究以及技术史领域内经常被讨论的话题。现代化技术和技术产品的日新月异及其对普通人的日常生活的介入和渗透,使得技术与文化的关系成为民俗学者、文化史学者难以忽略和回避的问题。目前国际汉学界中从事类似研究的项目有德国柏林工业大学的“中国日用技术的历史与人类学研究”(Alhagstechniken Chinas,Mareile Fhisch)、英国伦敦大学亚非学院的“现代物品：1870-1950年中国的物质文化和日常生活”(Things Modem：Material Culture and Everyday Life in China(1870-1950),Frank Dik6ner)等。     

黑暗寻光明 舍身抗外侮——我的祖父曾泽生

祖父曾泽生,1925年考入黄埔军校第三期任区队长,同年加人中国国民党。他1937年9月参加抗战,1938年率部参加了台儿庄会战。1945年日本投降后,率部到越南受降。1945年11月任60军军长,率第60军赴东北。1948年10月率第60军于长春起义,所部被改编为中国人民解放军第50军,任军长。后率部参加解放鄂西,进军西南作战。

危地马拉的彩色民族

Previous commentators accept that an adulterous wife dared return to her father's house and a benign husband sought to retrieve her, or they stipulate a unique meaning for the phrase . By understanding in a sense attested elsewhere in the Bible, this essay both resolves the crux of implausibility and obviates the need for singular translation. A close literary reading also presents a new interpretation of the entire chapter, demonstrating that the theme of Judges 19 is neither hospitality nor the abasement of women but Israel's Sodom-like abnegation of commitment and compassion down to that last stronghold of security—the family unit. Contrary to other feminist readings, this feminist interpretation reveals the biblical author's empathy toward the concubine, his contempt for the guilty, and his imposition of punishment on the wrongdoers.     

Shining a Light on Dark Tourism: German Bunkers in the British Channel Islands

Abstract

Lying at the heart of Tonbridge and Ashworth's 'dissonant heritage' are issues of disinheritance and the subsequent discord that this can cause. Implicit in this is the lesson for heritage professionals to make sure that the heritage they manage is presented in an honest, ethical and inclusive manner that minimises dissonance. But what, precisely, does this mean in practice? What if those who 'own' the heritage are not professionals, but deeply committed and interested amateur volunteer enthusiasts who have made it their life's work over decades to conserve and look after the heritage, but who are not particularly interested in, or actively resistant to, issues that so concern professionals? These are some of the issues which periodically arise in the British Channel Islands over the most visible heritage of Occupation — the German fortifications, or 'bunkers'.     

Spatiality,sweatshops and solidarity in Guatemala

Uneven development in Guatemala has been fuelled by international investment flows and a 1984 law that established a patchwork pattern of each factory as its own free-trade zone. The spatial and social flexibility of this form of labour regulation requires workers to be creative in defending their rights. Our paper explores the creative potential of transnational worker/consumer/student alliances, or mixed coalitions as we call them, to influence global production. We analyse one international solidarity campaign (1991-1999) focused on a shirt factory of Phillips-Van Huesen, the world's largest manufacturer of men's shirts. A co-ordinated strategy linking Guatemalan workers with the US-based anti-sweatshop movement led to the approval of the first collective bargaining agreement in the maquila sector in Guatemala, yet long-term results proved illusive. The factory shut down shortly after the contract was signed and production moved to lower-wage maquilas in the same city. The struggle at the Phillips-Van Huesen shirt factory illustrates the importance of critical geographical knowledge for labour organizing and solidarity politics.
