地理环境变迁与文学思潮更迭——西周至魏晋南北朝文风演变与地理环境关系

地理环境是不断变化的,文艺思潮也有更迭发展,两者之间更有关系可寻。本文通过西周至魏晋南北朝时期文风演变与地理环境关系的研究,揭示无论是风调雨顺的地理环境,抑或是灾异多发的地理环境,都将对当时的文学思潮产生巨大的影响。     

Exploring The Basis For Parental Choice in Public Education

From the perspective of public choice theory, this article explores the relationship between student performance and certain aspects of school organization and operation. Employing multiple regression and analysis of variance techniques, we found that variation in comprehensive student assessment test scores can be explained best by variables such as income, district size, and the extent of classroom crowding. Student performance was lowest in the largest districts. Student performance tended to be better in those school districts with relatively higher incomes, fewer schools, and a lower proportion of oversized classes. These findings confirm the utility of readily available information about public schools as a basis for parental choice and lend support to public choice criticism of large, centralized, educational organizations.     

考虑小型团体游客多类型期望的旅游产品个性化定制方法

随着旅游行业的发展,旅游行业的竞争越来越激烈,如何更好地满足游客的个性化需求成为关注的焦点.针对小型团体游客的旅游产品个性化定制问题,本文提出了一种考虑小型团体游客多类型期望的旅游产品个性化定制方法.在该方法中,首先,通过问卷调查获取游客针对不同类型旅游产品属性的期望要求;其次,计算不同类型的旅游产品属性各取值水平满足游客需求的程度;再其次,通过建立和求解优化模型来确定旅游产品定制方案;最后,通过一个算例说明本文提出的方法的可行性与有效性.     

Governance and Competition: The Role of Non-profit Organisations in the Delivery of Public Services

The movement away from a unified public service towards the development of quasi-markets based on the involvement of private firms and non-profit organisations can be viewed as the most radical change to state-society relations since the advent of the modern welfare state. While there is a growing literature on the value this contracting regime has for governments, we know almost nothing about its impact upon the service delivery styles and mission of non-profit agencies. This study used focus groups and survey data from agencies involved in the Australian Job Network and its predecessor Working Nation . The results show that this contracting regime produced a convergence of service delivery strategies among different types of agency, higher caseloads, reduced attention to the needs of individual job-seekers and greater 'creaming' of the easiest clients at the expense of those more disadvantaged.     

基于常态条件的石窟寺监测数据预警应用初探

目前国内石窟监测实践在数据采集和存储上已取得较多突破,但在体系化、合理化数据利用上仍存在短板,海量数据受限于劣化机理定量化溯源预测、预防性保护普适性环境参数阈值等研究基础尚不成熟,较难发挥指导、辅助当下保护实践的时效作用。本文依托四川广元千佛崖案例,研究基于常态条件的监测数据实时分级预警体系构建方法,并进行初步应用,探索了一种具有一定推广性并可与保护措施设计、完善、评估以及遗产地管理有机结合的监测预警技术路线。

The Politics of Media Infrastructure: Mobile Phones and Emergent Forms of Public Communication in Papua New Guinea

Recent work in anthropology proposes that the ethnographic study of infrastructure offers a productive way to think about how states and corporations, citizens and consumers, all define their relations and obligations to each other. This article considers the politics of media infrastructure in Papua New Guinea (PNG) by tracing the moral economy of mobile phones. It focuses on (1) how mobile phone users have taken to social media to express dissatisfaction with the dominant mobile network operator, Digicel, a privately owned foreign company; and (2) how the PNG state has attempted to regulate the use of mobile phones and social media through cybercrime legislation and registration of Subscriber Identity Modules (SIM cards). Consideration of these two issues – matters of concern that gather publics around them – enables an assessment of the promise of improved telecommunications and social media, in particular, to make government in PNG more accountable and transparent.     

The Tasks And Methods Of Geographical Studies For Forecasting Economic Development And Resource Use (with particular reference to the South of Krasnoyarsk Kray)

Geographical preplanning studies for the long-term planning of regional economic development are found to be inadequate to modern needs because they focus on resource use for industrial purposes and neglect the potential feedback effects of the environment on human activity. Several preplanning studies are examined and found deficient in this respect. The problem is illustrated with particular reference to the South of Krasnoyarsk Kray, where the new Sayan territorial production complex is under development. Preplanning studies are found to have neglected the potential impact of development on landscape ecology, agricultural geography, population geography and medical geography of the area. The need for quantified results suitable for planning purposes is stressed.

The Public Role of Religion: A Central-European Perspective

Abstract

Church leaders in Europe frequently lament that the environment is non-religious and unchristian. Reflecting on how the European countries which fell under Communist domination have adjusted to the post-Communist era, the paper advances the view that the situation should be characterized differently. European Christianity stands on the threshold of another of its historical metamorphoses. The continent is not simply unchristian or non-religious, but neither is not religious in a Christian way. Christianity is not the religion of present-day Europe, and at the same time European Christianity can no longer be seen as a "religion."     

New Courses For A Gendered Geography: Teaching Feminist Geography At The University Of Waikato

An argument for a transformative feminist geography rather than a less radical gender geography anchors a discussion of two undergraduate courses developed at the University of Waikato. It is suggested that a consideration of gender in geography marginalises feminist scholarship, fosters a goal of androgyny and a politics of equality. As a result, putting gender into geography could well just add ‘women's concerns’ into an unaltered discipline and deflect the feminist focus on women's oppression and patriarchal power. The challenge then, is to create a geography which has feminism at its centre, to formulate an alternative discourse which critiques but also reconstructs the theories, concepts, subjects, politics and pedagogy of the discipline The second year course ‘Women in Australasia: Gendering Space’ and the third year course ‘Feminist Geography: Critique and Construct’ are attempts at creating such a feminist geography.     

Television Programs For Women in The United Arab Emirates and The City Of Milwaukee,U.S.A

To know more about the role of the television in dealing with women's problems in both United Arab Emirates (UAE) television and television in Milwaukee, Wisconsin U.S.A., a comparative analytical study was made for such programs in both countries. The researcher believes that developing local women's programs can benefit from the experiences of others, along with comparative studies between women's programs on UAE television and Milwaukee television. The study covers public television programs during the period from September 15 to October 30, 1997. The investigation relies on the survey and content analysis methods. These methods are usually adopted to survey and compare television programs in studies similar to this one.
