本研究以性别理论与女性主义地理学研究为基础,深度访谈37位酒店女性职业人,试图解析女性职业人的性别建构和空间互动问题。研究发现:第一,酒店基层女性员工认为在工作场域中恰当地践行性别是其职业初期不断摸索和协商的重要事项;第二,消解性别并不是普遍存在的,中高层员工面临突破性别定势的困境;第三,到达酒店高层岗位的女性职业人通过家庭场域的消解性别,或弱化家庭和工作场域的性别矛盾而选择回归践行性别。女性职业人对与性别关联的规范和属性进行挑战和改变,诠释了不同空间和职业发展阶段中的性别规训与操演。  相似文献

顾客满意只能部分解释顾客再购意向。转换壁垒的有效设置可以帮助高星级酒店更好地留住顾客,提升顾客对酒店的利润贡献度和关系嵌入度。本文在回顾国内外相关研究的基础上,以高星级酒店顾客为研究对象,深入探讨了转换壁垒对顾客再购意向的影响。数据分析结果显示,转换壁垒可以划分为程序类、财务类和关系类转换壁垒这三个维度,验证了这一研究结论在酒店业的有效性;关系类转换壁垒对顾客再购意向有着显著的直接正向影响,同时关系类转换壁垒通过情感性承诺间接影响顾客再购意向;程序类转换壁垒与财务类转换壁垒对顾客再购意向没有显著的直接影响,然而,这两类转换壁垒通过顾客承诺间接影响顾客再购意向。  相似文献

Masculinity, like other kinds of social identity, is an ongoing construction in a dialogue between one's self-image and others' perceptions of one. The interplay between ethnicity and masculinity is a main theme in this article. Due to geographical displacement, the Iranian man's masculine identity has been challenged and renegotiated on the one hand by Iranian women's struggle for emancipation and on the other hand by the Swedish mediawork. Iranian men are displaced from the position of having a powerful gaze, which fixed and controlled women into a position of being an object of the gaze of others. The dominant gaze in Sweden makes them (in)visible in the same way their gaze makes women (in)visible in Iran.  相似文献

Gender and development has grown enormously as a field over the last thirty years. In this introduction, we interrogate the ambivalence that underpins feminist engagement with development and examine what current dilemmas may suggest about the relationship between feminist knowledge and development practice. In recent years, there has been growing frustration with the simplistic slogans that have come to characterize much gender and development talk, and with the gap between professed intention and actual practice in policies and programmes. Questions are now being asked about what has become of ‘gender’ in development. This collection brings together critical reflections on some ideas about gender that have become especially resonant in development narratives, particularly those that entail popularization and the deployment of iconic images of women. This introduction explores more closely the issues raised by such myth‐making, arguing that these myths stem from exigencies within the politics and practices of development bureaucracies, within the difficult politics of feminist engagement with development policy and practice and within feminist politics itself.  相似文献

Research on perceptions of safety in public spaces must seek a balance between paying careful attention to the effects of gender, while challenging simplistic notions of a dichotomy of fearful women and fearless men. In a study of perceptions of safety among undergraduate students at the Ohio State University, this principle was addressed by decentering fear as the object of study and focusing instead on the various strategies that women and men use to manage their perceptions of safety—including avoidance of certain situations (for example, being in specific places, or going outside after dark), precautionary measures, and assertions of confidence. Questionnaire responses and follow-up interviews indicated that most students usually felt safe on campus; however, women were more likely than men to have felt unsafe. Students used a wide range of strategies to make themselves feel safer, from staying home after dark to formulating plans for self-defense to telling themselves they had nothing to fear. While a focus on strategic responses illuminated areas of overlap in men's and women's experiences, gender differences were also striking. Men are unlikely to rely on avoidance strategies, while some women view self-imposed restrictions on activity as normal and necessary. Furthermore, many men are unwilling or unable to relate to questions about fear and safety, explicitly or implicitly reinscribing fear as a ‘women's issue’.  相似文献

A mapping programme of all reefs of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park area and compilation of a computer-based gazetteer containing locational and morphological data have permitted the first comprehensive spatial and morphometric analysis of the Great Barrier Reef. As previously suspected the analysis shows that a degree of organisation exists in the complexity of the Reef and clear regional and latitudinal patterns are recognised Reasons for this, particularly in relation to regional structure and the influence of the pre-Holocene foundations of the modem reef, are discussed The usefulness of a morphometric approach is suggested and an example related to Acanthaster planci outbreaks presented  相似文献
