<正>Dear Editor China's Tibet:Number Two is very good from front page to last page.First I went through the pictures.I liked every one of the pictures especially that fantastic FrontBack. Then I read the articles. It is very interesting how village boy becomes Thangka painter.I read the teacher teaching blind and know about how is deaf and dumb in Tibet. It makes me think of my knotted cords-when I started about 40 years ago I sent letter to Royal Blind Institute  相似文献

"During my treatment in isolation, all the doctors and nurses I saw wore protective suits.Till this day,I have no idea what they look like without the fogged-up masks and sweat-soaked suits. But the kindness and care I received during those days will never be forgotten." This experience has filled his heart with gratitude. The patient, identified only as Zhang, vows to give back to society in the future as much as it has given him.Zhang was the only confirmed case of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Tibet Autonomous Region until the beginning of March.Under the treatment of the medical staff of the Third People's Hospital of Tibet Autonomous Region,Zhang had a successful recovery. Here is Zhang's diary from illness to recovery.  相似文献

The new century has dawned and our work in the past year has drawn to a successful conclusion through the care and concern from our readers. I thank you fromthe bottom of my heart!I came to China 's Tibet in May 1991. when I finished my graduate study in theBeijing Teachers' University, majoring in folklore. I worked for the Chinese andTibetan editions of the magazine, and was transferred to the English edition in 1997.With more readers demanding a better English edition, I was appointed …  相似文献

<正>In 1946,I was born in Lodzong, the downtown area of today's Lhorong County in Chamdo, and I am 71 years old this year.Looking back,I guess you could say my family(which included just my mother and me)was nothing special. At that time in 1960,the Tibet Autonomous Region today was not yet founded.Lodzong was officially called the Lodzong Preparation Committee of Liberation, which was often shortened to simply the"Preparation Committee",and it was this committee that arranged for our formal study in mainland China.  相似文献

The thirteenth Dalai Lama Ngawang LozangThubten Gyatso was a very spectacular and complexcharacter on the political stage of Tibet in moderntimes. His experience of a lifetime of frustrations re-flected the then tempestuous and changeable situation.Any evaluation of a Tibetan political and religiousleader has always been a contentious problem in aca-demic circles, because it involves the explanation andexposition of relations between the Tibetan local gov-ernment and the Central Government after the Revo-lution in 1911. For a long time I have had a keen inter-est in the“the Great Thirteenth,”as he has been called. After a long period of study I have formed my view-point on this historical figure, and I present it here to  相似文献

At nine o'clock sharp onespring morning this year, this writer paid a visit to Su Bai in the capacity of a special reporter of China's Tibet .I showed him the magazine published in Chinese, Tibetan and English, and he loved them very much. Howev-er, when told of my intention to ask him to write about his experience gained in his 1959 and 1988 archaeological surveys in Tibet as an expert archaeologist, he demanded time to organize his thoughts."In 1959, I went with the Cul-tural Relics Surv…  相似文献

I still remember the first time I stepped into Are's Tibetan Restaurant back in 2011 when I had just come back from my first trip to Tibet. With memories reverberating in my mind,I started to explore Tibetanstyle restaurants in Chengdu in the hopes of finding some relief through enjoying a simple bowl of buttered tea while reminiscing about the sweet drink served in a warm tea house on the Barkor Street. For the past nine years,I have gone to Are's place with friends every now and again and can never shake the feeling that we are eating and talking in a nice restaurant in Lhasa.  相似文献

<正>In 2001,by chance I traveled along the road from Qinghai to Tibet. Though I did not experience the full length of this national road,I was very impressed by what I observed of Tibetan culture.Up to early 2007, I had entered Tibet eight times, from different directions through the four major access points:Sichuan,Yunnan,Xinjiang and Qinghai. Shouldering the responsibility of filming a documentary,I together with my colleagues in 2002 and 2004 drove a vehicle along the route from Sichuan to Tibet, but my third visit to Tibet was by myself. The route from Sichuan to Tibet  相似文献

In the past, a letter sent from Tibet to inland China often took almost half a year to arrive. In Tibet, people had to walk a long way, and then waited in a long queue for access to a fixed phone. Because of the poor state of telecommunications in Tibet in those early days, people in Tibet heard and saw little of the wonderful world outside. This in turn created an even greater apparent distance between Tibet and that outside world.  相似文献

My last interview of Mr.Leque was when he was the Chairman of the Government of Tibet Autonomous Region(TAR).As time went by,Mr.Leque became the Chairman of the People's Congress of TAR.Following the custom,I paid my respects by presenting a delicate Karta whereupon,he gracefully gifted me another in return.Talking and laughing between us put me at ease and then led naturally into my questions.  相似文献

I am 61 years old. My hometown is Batang, now part of Sichuan Province. Driven by apoor life, father joined the KMT five days after I was born. His troops went over to the PLA right before national liberation. He joined the PLA 18th Army and was sent into Tibet. On the morning of October 17,1950, the PLA forces marched from Mamkang and Dege toward Qamdo, which was garrisoned by Tibetan troops. The latter soon surrendered or were routed. Qamdo was liberated on the 19th. On May 23,1951, the Central Government and the local government of Tibet signed an agreement for the peaceful liberation of Tibet.Join the PLA When 11I joined the PLA to follow in my father's footsteps in 1951, when I was only 11.1 left Batang on April  相似文献

It has already been eighteen years.I remember my first experience of stepping into this most mysterious land,Gyirong County. This was the beginning of my archeological journey in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).My memories are, since then, overwhelmed with fascination and imagination because of the most spectacular mountain ranges and the river banks in such a mysterious land.Maybe my fondest memory of this land is the flourishing historical cultural heritage preserved by local people. In September 2008,after several years,I again returned to my dreamland,Gyirong,  相似文献
