Abstract

This paper develops an analogy between the commercial activity of a business and the mechanical behaviour of a material as it is deformed. The link between these apparently quite disparate applications derives from consideration of each in terms of flows and transformations of energy. From this energy perspective it can be argued that there is some commonality between business management and material deformation, which enables an analysis developed for the latter to be employed to simulate and understand the former.  相似文献
