关于土族先祖的勇武逝去如风,戎装①在妇女身上犹存。摒弃刀箭或被刀箭摒弃,(即便是传说或梦呓,那梦境也不乏动人。)注定了一次离乡背井。他们长途跋涉到这方沃土,一落脚就深深地扎根。(幸有北大坂遮风挡寒,清泉水润喉洗尘。)热恋土亲近土从土立命:土庄廓圈定安居乐耕心;土热炕孕育恬静温馨梦;土锅头烧熬②的酩馏儿,飘香十里八村;土烟囱添一笔袅袅炊烟,田园景致因之而灵秀生动。莫非因感恩斯土哺育,才有这朴实无华的命名?明明是客居的第二故乡,却爱之切切,厮守生生!痴情爱意播进土里,连同汗水和憧憬,那生命就蓬勃了——田里的庄稼顺人意泛绿…     

墨尔本 绿树浓荫下的圣诞节

正我在墨尔本见识了一次南半球的圣诞节。我们中国人对春节是足够重视的了,那年味,也就是从腊月二十三才开始。可是在墨尔本,离圣诞节差不多还有一个月,不少地方和人家就开始打扮布置了,圣诞节的气息也慢慢出来了。还没有进入12月,就可以看见路边有卖圣诞树的广告,丹德农山脚下,出售圣诞树的小店开始忙活;购物中心里也竖起了高大的圣诞树,彩灯忽闪;琳琅满目的与圣诞节相关的商品     

Death and Burial Customs in Wiltshire.

Lavanis (ballads in the Kannada language) produced a vast body of discourse about the colonizers in Karnataka. They offer us glimpses of colonial relations, perceptions, and representations from the Indian side of the relationship. Such discourse ultimately allowed the British officials and the folk narrators to represent and legitimize both themselves and ‘the other’ simultaneously.     

Harvest Customs

Motivated by a religiously-based defensive credulity, the accounts of apparitions recorded by Edmund Jones (1702–93) are heavily coloured by his personal religious beliefs. One of the best examples of this is his account of the Pwcca'r Trwyn, which differs widely from other versions of the tale. Through close investigation of Jones's telling, greater insight can be gained into his own folkloristics and the reluctance of later writers to use him as a source.
