李公朴狱中日记（一）（1937．4．25-1937．7．27）

李公朴先生,江苏常州人。生于1900年。著名民主爱国人士。1936年11月,因响应中共建立抗日民族统一战线的号召,参与领导“全国各界救国联合会”,同沈钧儒等7人被国民党政府逮捕。1945年任中国民主同盟中央委员。1946年7月11日在昆明被国民党特务杀害。1982年,我刊曾将李先生从1946年元旦至遇害前三天——7月8日,为反对美蒋勾结发动反革命内战奔走呼号的战斗生活的日记分期发表。这份日记是1997年李先生的女婿王健先生捐赠给中国革命博物馆的。它记载了李先生从1937年4月25日到7月27日。在狱中坚持抗日民主的战斗生活,对研究抗日战争时期爱国民主运动有相当的参考价值。全部日记分两册,约4万余字。现分期在本刊发表。日记由王健、贺秦华、安跃华整理并加注释。日记原文全出手迹。内容略作删改。日记原文中涉及的人和事,整理者在可能查找的范围内加注。错漏字以[]加以订正。

40 years ago, T. Jones and J. Snyder, in their groundbreaking Sumerian Economic Texts from the Third Dynasty, 1961, found a mysterious and anonymous predecessor of Nasa, who we know as the general manager or receiving official of the Animal Center of Sulgi in Puzris-Dagan （modem Drehem）, which has been a subject of study for researches of the Ur III Period for many years.

在廿年前学徒的时期倒曾继续不断的写近二年的日记,从此以后就若藕丝一般的时断时续的写一点,大多数是利用案头日历为之。虽时常感觉日记的重要性。然而总未养成这种每日晚间或早上利用几分钟的时间将过去一日的事记下来的习惯。到苏州看守所以来,有功夫做以前想做而未做的事,实一不可多得的机会。     

REGARDING THE NAME OF THE MONTH ＇ITI EZEM A DARA4＇ IN UR III TEXTS

We begin our study of the city of Nippur in the neo-Surnerian period （ca. 2100- 2000 B. C.） with the publication of an unpublished text. This text belongs to the Okayama Orient Art Museum, Okayama-shi, Japan. Prof. Dr. Takashi Taniichi, the curator of the museum, generously permitted me to study and publish it.     

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EGYPT AND PALESTINE IN THE MIDDLE BRONZE AGE （CA.2000-1550／1500 BCE.）

The relationship between Egypt and Palestine during the Bronze Age has been discussed since the 1940s. For the period of the Middle Bronze Age, the problem is both chronological and interpretative. The end of the Middle Bronze Age is fixed by the initial military activities of Dynasty 18 in Palestine around the end of the 16th century BCE. But the dates for the beginning of this period and the transition from one archaeological phase to another are still debated. Lacking a generally accepted solution, the chronology adopted here is that of Dever --- the transition from MB Ⅰ to MB Ⅱ occurred around 1800 BCE,     

SEISMIC RISK ASSESSMENT OF RC STRUCTURES WITH THE “2000 SAC/FEMA” METHOD

The applicability of a new, fully probabilistic approach to seismic design and assessment of reinforced concrete (RC) structures is investigated. Fundamental advantages of the method are mathematical simplicity and comparatively light computational effort. The original formulation, which was developed for steel structures, is first illustrated; ah extension which allows consideration of multiple failure mechanisms, typical of RC structures, is then proposed. The applicability of the method is demonstrated through an example: the seismic risk of a four storey RC building that was not designed for seismic resistance is evaluated. Three failure mechanisms are considered: joint failure, column shear failure and drift failure.
