全球重要农业文化遗产在中国十年大事记

<正>2005年2005年6月9—11日"全球重要农业文化遗产保护项目‘稻鱼共生系统’启动研讨会"在浙江杭州和青田召开,同时举行了"全球重要农业文化遗产——浙江青田稻鱼共生系统"授牌仪式,FAO驻华代表Mona先生、朱秀岩总经济师、茅临生副省长、李文华院士、关君蔚院士等出席。2006年2006年6月10日中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所成立"自然与文化遗产研究中心",李文华院士任中心主任。     

Russian and Central European family structures: a comparative view

Some general features of family structure in Russia and Central Europe in the eighteenth century are examined and compared. Sources of data for Yaroslavl', a province northeast of Moscow, are evaluated. Principles of family structure are analyzed, with a focus on the basic pattern of patrilineality in the area. Features examined include variations in family size and complexity, the existence of the seniority principle in the hierarchy of family authority, problems concerning remarriage, patterns of age at marriage, variations in the length of intervals between generations, family kinship structures, and the presence of non-blood relatives in the household.     

The early section of the Worcester chronicle

The Latin chronicle traditionally attributed to Florence of Worcester is examined, and it is suggested that its early portion, down to the end of the reign of Æthelred the Unready, was compiled at Ramsey Abbey in Huntingdonshire during the last two decades of his reign. The repercussions of this on the transmission of the vernacular texts of the Anglo-Saxon chronicle are explored.

The Investment Contract as a mechanism of urban development in the Russian Federation

This article considers the Investment Contract, which has been introduced in several cities of the Russian Federation as the mechanism to link private capital with municipal resources in urban development projects. The device is intended to stimulate development by diminishing economic risks and providing investors with more secure legal status during the processes of project design, construction and land parcel formation and allocation. Looking at the Investment Contract as both an economic and legal device, this article considers whether it is likely to fulfil its intended purposes.

Legislating love: Norwegian family reunification law as a racial project

Love is often portrayed as helping us overcome racism and other forms of prejudice, yet this article argues that imperatives towards love and romance-based marriage in Norwegian family reunification law constitute a racial project. Through a detailed reading of the 2004 Green Paper on a new Immigration Act, and a particular focus on the use of immigration law to combat forced marriages evident there, the centrality of romantic love in constructions of national subjects is considered. These constructions are seen to render some groups of Norwegian citizens simultaneously invisible as national subjects and hyper-visible as objects of national management.
