《中图法》"中国当代史"类目设置问题探讨

笔者对《中图法》"中华人民共和国史"(以下简称"中国当代史")的类目设置进行了思考,发现存在这样一些问题:"K27"类下应该设立下位类目的,却没有设立下位类目;"中国时代表"中"当代史"的类目虽然设立了下位类目,但对"当代史"的分期却又不恰当地以年代来划分;从横向比较上来看,类目设置在详简程度上又存在着许多不一致性。本文就这些问题进行探讨并提出修订应遵循的原则。

文章从章节设置、领属归类、竖写单元、图片选配、保密措施等方面谈了新方志军事编编写应具有新时期的特征。     

According to What: Art and the Philosophy of the "End of Art"

In 1964, when Danto first encountered Warhol's Brillo Box, Jasper Johns made a painting titled According to What. Danto's new book After the End of Art also provokes this question because in his restatement of Hegel's verdict on art's historical role he drops an essential part of the implied definition of art: the issue of adequacy between content and presentation. Why dispense with this crucial point of quality judgment? My critique falls into three parts. The first part shows how the whole historical argument rests upon a shift of criteria. According to Hegel art reached its highest point of achievement in classical antiquity when adequate embodiment seemed indispensable to the presence of the spirit. It subsequently lost this exclusive rank—first through Christianity, then through modern philosophy—when a new spiritual self-awareness emerged which no longer seemed to need external manifestation. Although Danto disputes the concept of absolute self-possession as the metaphysical vanishing point of Hegel's construction, he nevertheless subscribes to its apparent evidence in late twentieth-century art and culture. In the second part I discuss the characteristic distortions of Hegelian-type historicism and confront them with both the obvious misrepresentation of the works of art themselves and the different code of conduct in practical art history. This leads to a rather disenchanting conclusion: according to an old, deeply ingrained philosophical prejudice there is no problem about quality in art, because the true yardstick and fulfillment of art is philosophy itself. The final part tries to unpick this tangle by showing that there was in fact, contemporaneous with Hegel, a remarkably different interpretation of the self-same auspices of modern art which comes much closer to its actual achievements, and this without denying the basic philosophical predicament of which Danto has reminded us.

全军编纂军事志已有近20年历史了,期间出现一批优秀成果。旧志中军事内容常以“兵备”、“武备”为类目,入纂于综合性地方志书里,而单独编军事志的则十分鲜见。今日的军事志,无疑是我们这个时代推陈出新的产物。编修军事志不仅体现了当今军事内容的重要地位,也有利于这种地域性专业志更好地张扬个性,服务于部队和国防建设。

书院教育始于唐、盛于宋,其作为官方教育的补充,为当地的文化发展发挥了重要的作用。作为偏处一隅的潮州地区,其书院教育始兴于南宋,尤其在明清两代,潮州地区兴办了大批书院。书院教育的兴盛提高了潮州地区的教育水平,为敦睦民风、文化开化、繁荣地域文化起了重要作用,促成了潮州地域文化的形成。     

军事志如何记述地方经济与社会内容

军事志作为地方志系列中的一种特殊的专业志,其内容涵盖地方政治、经济、科技、文化和社会等诸多领域。如何客观、准确、恰当地记述好这些内容,直接关系到军事志的质量和价值。通常情况下,军事志在记述地方经济与社会内容时,其资料选用应遵循与军事有关、与主题相符、与地位相称的原则;记述内容应坚持以记述现状、服务军事和反映地域特色为主;记述方法应采取集中记述与穿插记述相结合、客观反映与功能分析相结合、文字记述与图表展示相结合,使军事志在记述地方经济与社会内容时,既遵循志书的基本体例规范,又反映军事专业特点。     

创建中国军事志学学科体系的初步设想

为适应时代要求和军事志事业发展的实际,应创建中国军事志学科体系,而创建这一学科体系的基本依据有:创建中国军事志学学科体系是创新发展军事科学理论体系的组成部分;军事志是中国地方志中的一个特殊的专门志;军事志编纂实践形成了许多经验教训,迫切需要一个完整的学科理论体系作指导。中国军事志学是研究中国军事志产生、衍变及其发展规律,指导军事志编纂和开发利用的学科,其学科属性是军事科学领域里一门独立的综合性应用科学。中国军事志学学科体系采取层级统属式的结构,可分为三个层次,由五个分支学科组成,每个分支学科领属若干个研究科目。

司马谈与《史记》

司马谈为西汉前期著名的史学家和思想家。他之于《史记》有发凡起例之功,对《史记》的五种体例都有成文论作。其中《论六家要指》一文,是中国学术史和史学史上的重要文献,它不仅反映了司马谈的学术思想,而且也反映了司马谈的史学思想和政治思想。《史记》能成为千古不朽之作,是与司马谈的努力分不开的。     

Mission Impossible: "Nonsectarian" Prayer in the Military Chaplaincy

Abstract

Recent media-saturated events such as then-Navy Chaplain Klingenschmitt's hunger strike in front of the White House, an ultimately unsuccessful class-action lawsuit against the Navy that alleged discrimination against evangelical Christians, and formal charges of religious bias at the US Air Force Academy have renewed concerns about the content of chaplain-led public prayers in ostensibly secular contexts. Some have accordingly touted the advantages of offering "nonsectarian" prayer in command-hosted settings, where attendance by service personnel is mandatory in a real or de facto sense. This paper argues that this push toward nonsectarian prayer ultimately does a disservice to the chaplains themselves and the religious communities from whence they come, whether civic prayer is interpreted as an instance of "ceremonial deism" or a rite of civil religion. But the solution it offers is not for public prayers to become more religiously particular, but for military commanders to cease requesting that chaplains lead public prayer of any kind in such settings.

译者按:下面之译文是德国驻华军事顾问对1937年"八一三事变"爆发后所发生之上海战役(我方常称之谓淞沪会战或上海会战)及其随后撤退时日军追逐占所撰写的两篇报告,可能呈送给德国陆军总司令部,作为研究中、日两国军力与在远东所进行之战争的真相或特留之参考.     

《新安志》的编纂历程考述

在南宋孝宗时期,《新安志》的编纂历经罗愿复得《祥符图经》之前、之后及赵不悔知徽州三个阶段。而罗愿的修志准备,最迟从乾道五年(1169年)作《附汪王庙考实》开始,至乾道九年(1173年)赵不悔知徽州后全面展开,并于淳熙二年(1175年)修成。因此,《新安志》的编纂历时数年,甚至更长一些,淳熙二年只是修成的年代,而不是开始编撰的时间,更不是在这一年内完成的。
