40th Anniversary of the Founding of TAR Celebrated

The Tibet Autonomous Region celebrated its 40th anniversary on September 1,2005.From August 27 to September 3,2005,a 57-member Central Government Delegation headed by Jia Qinglin （member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee）were in Tibet for the celebration.     

Ngapoi Recalls the Founding of the TAR

Ngapoi Ngawang Jigmei, as a full-power delegate of the local government of Tibet led by the 14th Dalai Lama, played a vital role in the signing of the 17-article Agreement on Methods for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet in 1951. Fourteen years later, he was elected chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region founded in September 1965.With the approach of the 40th anniversary, we invited Ngapoi Ngawang Jigmei, now Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee,to talk about TAR＇s founding.

In the early spring of 1965, the Nationalities Pictorial Press learned from the Central People＇s Government representative in Tibet, Zhang Jingwu, that a picture album was to be published to mark the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region, and Chairman Mao Zedong was invited to write its title, ＂Collected Paintings on the Tibet Autonomous Region＂. The press sent Zhang Guanrong, Zhaxi Nyima and I to Tibet for gathering the pictures and for interviews.

欣慰的回顾--纪念中国边疆史地研究中心建立20周年

今年是中国社会科学院中国边疆史地研究中心成立 2 0周年 ,《中国边疆史地研究》杂志主编李大龙先生要我写点回顾性的文字 ,我欣然地答应了。我从 1983年中心成立时就参与工作至 1994年 8月退休 ,共在中心工作 11个年头。因此 ,我的这篇文字主要也是记述这一期间的一些事情。一     

建国60周年安徽重要考古成果展巡礼

由安徽省文化厅主办,安徽省文物局、安徽省博物馆、安徽省考古所承办的建国60周年安徽重要考古成果展在安徽省博物馆开幕。60年前,安徽的文物考古工作几乎是一片空白。新中国建立后,党和各级人民政府十分重视文物保护工作。在国民经济恢复和发展时期,取得了阜南商代青铜器、屯溪土墩墓、寿县蔡侯墓、阜阳西汉汝阴侯墓、合肥包拯家族墓地等一大批考古新发现。     

中国的成功之路

中国这个人口众多、贫穷落后的东方大国正在迅速崛起。人们争相探究中国成功的奥秘,做出种种判断。中国人民则从切身经验中体认到:中国特色社会主义是我们的成功之路。中国特色社会主义的探索经历了漫长的历程,走过曲折的道路。毛泽东第一个提出,要找出在中国建设社会主义的具体道路,并为此进行了艰辛探索,奠定了中国特色社会主义的基础。经历了“文化大革命”内乱之后,以邓小平为代表的中国共产党人在接受教训、总结经验的基础上,成功地开辟了一条中国特色社会主义新道路,创立了马克思主义与当代中国实践和时代特征相结合的中国特色社会主义理论。以江泽民为核心的第三代领导集体坚定不移地沿着建设中国特色社会主义道路与时俱进,开拓创新,改革开放和社会主义现代化事业不断前进,中国特色社会主义理论不断发展,逐步形成了“三个代表”重要思想这一系统的科学理论。中共十六大以后,以胡锦涛为总书记的党中央在新阶段伟大实践的基础上,总结新经验,作出新概括,进一步提出了科学发展观和构建社会主义和谐社会的任务,丰富、发展了邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想。中国的成功之路是中国共产党三代领导集体领导中国人民经过艰辛探索走出来的。从认识论、方法论来看,取得成功的重要原因是:遵循实事求是的思想路线;从错误中学习;在打压中自强;在反倾向斗争中前进;尊重群众的首创精神;抓住机遇,迎接挑战。     

Celebrations for the 20~(th) Anniversary of the Founding of the China Tibetology Research Center(CTRC) in Beijing

May 20,2006 marks the 20th birthday of CTRC. On May 18, 2006, CPPCC Chairman Jia Qinglin made an inspect visit to the Center to extend cordial greetings to Tibetan study workers of CTRC as well as the whole country on behalf of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Hu Jintao. Mean while Jia made a speech in which he fully affirmed the achievements made by the CTRC over the past 20 years and put forward new demands on Tibetan studies.

此文概述了国史作为一门新兴学科,在十一届三中全会后正式登上学术舞台的过程;澄清了对国史学科存在必要性及其特点的模糊认识;强调了国史研究要发扬中国史学经世致用、资治教化的传统,自觉地为建设有中国特色的社会主义事业服务;同时提出了为加强国史学自身的学科建设,要处理好党性和科学性,占有史料和掌握马克思主义的立场、观点、方法,研究历史问题和关注现实问题,继承史学传统和借鉴新的史学观念与方法的关系.
