The theory that worship of a great goddess dominated Minoan religion to such an extent that it can be described in almost monotheistic terms remains commonplace in accounts of Minoan civilization. ABSTRACT. This paper discusses the formulation and estimation of sets of demand systems for six New Zealand regions. The chosen model is based on the Linear Expenditure System, constrained in various ways to take account of interregional differences in consumer behaviour. Our results suggest that income and price elasticities of demand vary significantly between regions, suggesting that regional employment and output patterns are likely to differ in their responses to changes in aggregate demand.  相似文献

交通网络的发展是城镇体系空间完善的重要条件。根据城镇体系空间特点和经济社会布局,制定与之相适应的城际交通网络布局规划,是路网规划的重要组成部分。本文在分析城际交通网络布局与经济及产业布局、城镇体系布局的关系基础上,结合交通网络的特征,提出了基于引力模型和拓扑结构的城际交通网络布局规划方法,并结合湖北省城际高速公路网布局规划开展了实证研究,对该省2015年城际高速公路网的布局模式进行了预测,并就高速公路网络的发展特征与城际经济社会空间联系的关系进行了分析。  相似文献

交通投资与经济发展的内在关系一直没有公认的结论。大家普遍同意交通条件是经济发展的重要支撑要素之一。交通投资只有在生产条件充足的情况下,才会促进经济发展。但交通投资并不是越多越好,而是必须与生产投资保持适当比例。交通投资对交通条件改善的区域影响较为复杂,不同的范围有不同的影响。通达性是目前进行交通网络影响评价最为常用的手段。通达性指标有时间通达性、经济潜能和日通达性。不同的通达性指标从不同的角度对交通网络区域效应进行评价。本旨在对我国主要交通设施区域影响的评价研究起抛砖引玉的作用。  相似文献

Residents pay into Homeowners Associations (HOAs) to exert greater control over service provision, their properties and those of their neighbors. HOAs enforce restrictions governing land use within their boundaries, but theory is ambiguous about their impact on public land use. By combining two novel data sets on Florida HOAs and municipal regulations, we examine how HOAs affect public land use regimes for 232 cities. We find that the prevalence of HOAs is positively associated with a propensity for regulation, as are newer and bigger HOAs. Also, HOAs are positively associated with land use techniques that direct development through incentives, rather than mandates.  相似文献

In this paper, we use a two-stage intercity hedonic model to estimate household demand for public safety. This approach is shown to readily address the identification problem inherent in the hedonic model. Data from the 1980 Public Use Microdata Sample are used to estimate a willingness-to-pay function for the public-safety good. Income is found to be the primary determinant of willingness to pay. Indeed, the influence of income outweighs the combined impact of family life-cycle considerations.  相似文献
