康熙天坛祈雨的历史书写与史实考析——兼论康熙雍正灾异观念演变及其影响

康熙早年虔信精诚格天,分别于十年、十七年、十八年、十九年、二十六年五次亲诣天坛祈雨,二十六年底为孝庄祈寿未果后,对"天道"认知发生显著变化,停止亲诣天坛祈雨,在荒政方面更侧重防灾备灾与人事赈救。《清圣祖实录》纂修者基于雍正的灾异观念,篡改康熙十七年、十九年降雨时间,删削康熙对停止亲诣天坛祈雨的解释,从而维护康熙敬天的"圣君"形象和上天的"灵验"形象。康熙不言祥瑞,对灾异持务实态度。雍正的灾异观念虽然有助于他加强君主集权,提升统治效能,但很大程度上也造成官僚系统灾情呈报的讳匿风习,对民生吏治与国家治理产生负面影响。

New evidence for the Byzantine Church of the Holy Apostles from Fatih Camii, Istanbul

The Church of the Holy Apostles was one of the most important buildings in Byzantine Constantinople. The mausolea of Constantine the Great (the main imperial burial place until the eleventh century) and of Justinian I were in the complex surrounding this vast cruciform church. Nothing of this complex appeared to have survived its demolition to clear the site of the Ottoman mosque complex of Fatih Camii after 1461. Fieldwork in 2001 recorded walls pre–dating the fifteenth–century phase of the mosque complex, still standing above ground level and apparently including a large rectilinear structure. This is identified as the Church of the Holy Apostles and an adjacent enclosure may be that containing the mausoleum of Constantine the Great. The reconstructed church plan resembles those of St John of Ephesus and St Mark's (San Marco), Venice – churches known to have been modelled on the Church of the Holy Apostles, Constantinople.

"Del grasso di Lorenzo un'ampolletta": Relics and Representations in the Quest for Forgiveness in Renaissance Rome

Giuliano Dati's poem Gli stazoni & perdonanze che sono la Quaresima e l'Octava della Pasqua di Resurrexo in Roma che sono a cinquantaquattro chiese (1492–1493) is a guide to the stations and indulgences of Rome. The first part of the paper examines relics and guides and their role in lay piety. The second part looks at the way in which the Confraternity of the Gonfalone used some of the key Holy Week stations, and subsequently abandoned them in 1490 for the Colosseum where it performed its Easter plays, composed by the same Giuliano Dati and others.

明代关于"天妃"封号的论辩

明代朝廷沿袭元代的旧例,把妈祖林默娘封为“天妃”,列入祀典。然而对于“天妃”这一封号,在明代的士大夫知识分子中产生了较大的分歧。反对者认为不应胡乱把处女之身的妈祖指配给天帝为妻室;赞同者则认为所谓“天妃”只是广义上的“以德配天”的含义,并非实指配与天帝为妻室。较为圆融者则主张以“圣妃”“圣女”的封号为妥,免得亵渎神明。明末清初之际,“天妃”“天后”封号又有与“碧霞元君”封号混同者。产生这些差异的实质,是传统儒家祀典观念与现实政治社会的实际需求之间的差异所引发的。而这种差异,即使是在其他方面,制度设计与现实实施过程中所存在的某些差异,都是很难避免的。

卜辞所见商代宗教哲学中的“命”

殷墟卜辞中有“帝于令”,“令”指“天命”。卜辞中又有“受命”,即文献中所说的“正命”,或“考终命”。卜辞中有“不既赢”,“赢”读为“盈”,指乾阳之气,如同文献中所说的“休命”。《甲骨文合集》6928是一版武丁时代的龟腹甲,上有“帝命”,反映了古代天人相应的观念。

Conversion front Greek Orthodoxy to Roman Catholicism in the Fourteenth Century

Abstract

Several prominent Byzantines, including the Emperor John V Palaiologos, converted to Roman Catholicism in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. This may seem an odd sort of conversion. After all, if the fundamental tenets of the Christian faith are contained in the Nicene Creed, then Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic believers differ on only one tenet: whether the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father or from the Father and the Son – the Filioque issue. For a Christian to admit the double procession of the Holy Spirit is hardly on the same level as admitting that Mohammed is the prophet of the one God. Indeed, many members of each church have been willing to call the procession of the Holy Spirit unknowable and leave it at that.

Holy Fire and sacral kingship in post-conquest Jerusalem

ABSTRACT

In 1101 the Holy Fire failed to appear in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Holy Saturday, as tradition and liturgy dictated. Less a failure and more a deliberately precipitated crisis born of a political struggle of wills between Patriarch Daimbert and King Baldwin, the resolution of this event enabled the kings of Jerusalem to establish dominance over the ecclesiastical sphere for most of the kingdom’s history. A reading of the narrative sources against liturgical sources casts light on the intersection between liturgy and government and on how the simulation of miracles could be used to advance political causes.     

古代国家都城祭祀体系与空间模式——以唐长安为例

祭祀是礼制的渊源,国家祭祀是社会礼制中最高礼仪层次,也是以礼为内核的儒教的载体,都城形成了国家祭祀体系中最为完善的地域空间,本文在建构儒教之所以成立的基础上,以唐代长安城为例,探讨了城市祭祀的等级、结构和地域空间体系,认为国家祭祀是古代都城的显性文化现象,是城市上层的精神空间的表达,是传统城市特有的一类精神文化。
