蒋介石对“礼义廉耻”的建构与新生活运动的开展

在新生活运动中,蒋介石以传统道德"礼义廉耻"为指导思想来改造国民性,希望达到复兴国家民族的目的。本文通过对抗战前后蒋介石对"礼义廉耻"两次建构的分析、相应新运工作概况及各阶层对新运态度的探讨,说明国民性的改造难以通过行政命令和强制手段达到预期效果。     

胡文虎戏谑“新生活运动”

“跳槽”一词,因其新鲜、生动、俏皮很快挤占了“换工作”、“换单位”之类用语的位置,《现代汉语词典》修订版更将其收编门下。然而《现汉》是本异常干净的词典,它没有提到“跳槽”在历史上最常见的意思。《汉语大词典》收进了这个意思,不过也不免含糊其辞：“指男女间爱情上喜新厌旧,见异而迁。”     

民国时期广西乡贤遗著整理工作初探

民国时期,广西的一些个人与机构开展了整理乡贤遗著的工作,认识与掌握了广西乡贤文献的状况,整理出版了一些乡贤文献,从而对保护乡邦文化遗产,弘扬乡邦文化做出了贡献.整理工作也存在着范围不广、形式单一、数量有限等不足.其时从事乡贤文献整理工作的广西学人表现出的对本土文化的“责任意识”,值得今天的广西学人肯定与学习.     

蒋介石与中国传统文化

蒋介石是国民党统治时期党、政、军的重要领导人,由于他从小深受中国封建传统文化的影响并且十分推崇王阳明的"心学",使他形成了保守的文化观念。他在20世纪30年代提出的"力行哲学",成为国民党的官方哲学,他还发起了实为尊孔复古的"新生活"运动。这些都表现出其文化观是单一的、守旧的。

天津文庙乡贤侯肇安与辅仁书院研究

文庙是儒家文化的物质载体,乡贤祠是庙学组成的一部分,探析天津文庙乡贤祠的由来以及天津文庙乡贤入祀的条件和程序,以乡贤侯肇安捐资助学倡建辅仁书院,研究乡贤对当地社会文教事业的重要贡献及对士人百姓的教化作用。     

“新生活运动”毁于“运动”

1934年2月19日,蒋介石在南昌行营举行的扩大总理纪念周上,做了题为《新生活运动之要义》的讲演,宣布“新生活运动”就从这一天开始。     

The Russian Natural Gas Industry in the Mid-1990s

Russia's natural gas industry has been enormously successful over the past quarter century (gas production increased nearly eightfold between 1970 and 1990 and exports outside the territory of the former USSR increased by 33 times), an outward success that appears to have carried over into the difficult transition period of the last five years; output has remained almost stable despite unprecedented declines elsewhere in the economy. Still, in recent years, with the overall economic and political transformation, the situation has become far more unsettled for the industry. This paper identifies and analyzes emerging new forces associated with the economic transition and assesses their likely impact upon the natural gas sector in terms of production trends and related developments in demand (both in terms of internal consumption and exports). 6 tables, 3 figures, 41 references.     

The pentiti of the Sicilian mafia in the 1930s

Mussolini had declared that Fascism, through the anti-mafia campaign entrusted to Cesare Mori, prefect of Palermo, in the second half of the 1920s, had conclusively liberated Sicily from the mafia. However, from the early 1930s a new deterioration of public order on the island was evident, and the regime was forced to launch a second, and much less publicised, repression of this phenomenon. In the course of its careful investigations the body given responsibility for pursuing this repression, the Ispettorato Generale di Pubblica Sicurezza per la Sicilia, compiled a series of reports, including the Processo verbale di denunzia relating to the area around Palermo. With a level of detail never seen before, these reports described the structure, organisation and dynamics of mafia groups. This was possible because police officers had available members of the mafia groups themselves – genuine pentiti – who had decided to make disclosures to the authorities.     

Production Activities in the Household Economies of Plantation Slaves: Barbados and Martinique,Mid-1600s to Mid-1800s

Formerly British and French colonies, the eastern Caribbean islands of Barbados and Martinique were major players in the early development of European overseas empires dependent on African slave labor and the large-scale production of sugar. Utilizing documentary and archaeological data we discuss and compare the independent production activities or household economies of plantation slaves on these two islands. The household economy was one of the more prominent aspects of plantation slave life throughout the Caribbean, and in this paper we examine the multiple adaptive production strategies slaves employed to ameliorate the poverty of their material and economic lives.     

20世纪30-40年代的实业界星五聚餐会

星五聚餐会是由中国银行总经理张公权发起而逐渐形成的一个以定期的聚会、座谈为主要活动方式的社会团体。1932年3月,该团体开始在上海举行定期聚餐座谈,抗战时期先后迁到香港、重庆等地举行,抗战胜利后主要在上海、重庆举行,一直延续到1952年为止。在前后20年间,星五聚餐会的聚餐座谈活动多达近千次,极少间断。与聚餐会直接相联系的有各地中国国货公司的创建,以及包括西南实业协会在内的抗战时期后方各主要工业团体组织。随着星五聚餐会影响的扩大,在抗战时期的昆明、贵州、桂林、成都以及抗战胜利后的武汉等地的工商实业界中,都出现了星五…     

20世纪三四十年代冀南农村分家行为研究

依据抽样调查资料和阶级成分档案资料,冀南农村的分家行为与传统具有很强的延续性。三四十年代的华北农村仍是传统色彩浓厚的社会,尽管合爨共财受到推崇,但在实际生活中要保持大家庭状态并非易事。兄弟婚后分家往往是不可避免的,差异只是从结婚到分家的间隔有长短之别。中国家庭财产的平均继承制度和观念不断侵蚀着大家庭的存在基础。当然在不同阶层中,家庭分合的力量是有差异的。贫穷阶层缺少维系大家庭的物质基础,各自谋生成为主流。富裕中农家庭对生产的协作要求较高,因而,容易维持不分状态;但若父家长去世,分家往往不可避免。有雇工经营能力的家庭,既有适于合爨的条件,也有便于分家的因素。     

The Russian Copper Industry and the Noril'sk Joint-Stock Company in the Mid-1990s

An American resource geographer examines current production in one of the world's major copper industries, with special emphasis on the Noril'sk Nickel Joint-Stock Company—the world's most important producer of platinum-group metals, a leader in nickel and cobalt output, and the leading Russian producer of copper as well. The author documents and analyzes changes in operating procedures and raw material supplies in the industry during the 1990s, focusing on adjustments (such as tolling arrangements and imports of concentrate in the raw-material-deficient Urals and efforts to introduce cost economies in resource-rich Noril'sk) prompted by the severing of industry production linkages of the Soviet period and their partial reintegration under new corporate structures. In addition to restructuring, likened to similar adjustments in the American copper industry, the investigation covers exploration and new mine development at various Russian locations as well as the economics of producing copper and other exportable metals at Arctic production centers. 1 figure, 4 tables, 103 references. 1930年代初中国海关金单位制度的建立述论

海关金单位制度是南京国民政府成立初期财金领域内一系列重要项改革之一,从制度层面有效地制止了金贵银贱风潮给中国关税收入所带来的风险,有助于维持南京国民政府的内外债信,对债赔各款偿付方式作出必要的改革;另外,海关金单位的制度设计还直接包含或涉及到了黄金外汇市场运作、中央银行和货币发行等领域,为这些领域的制度改革提供了必要性和可行性。南京国民政府所属的各相关机构部门,如行政院、财政部、海关总税务司、中央银行等各司其职、通力合作,也是海关金单位制度得以有效实施的重要原因。
