Authenticity is a significant concept in the heritage field. However, the connotations of authenticity and its relevance to Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) need further consideration. This paper ascertains the function of authenticity in the heritage field and reconceptualises authenticity so as to relate it to ICH. The subjectivities of ICH practitioners, as well as their subjective perspectives and experiences are privileged in this research, in line with the general aims of Critical Heritage Studies. Drawing on the idea of ‘existential authenticity’, which was developed in tourism studies, this paper presents a concept of ‘subjective authenticity’ with which to describe the ability of ICH practitioners to convey the dynamic, subjective and developing ICH values in both intrapersonal and interpersonal embodiments. Using case studies of ICH from Lijiang, China, the idea of subjective authenticity is evidenced and illustrated. Meanwhile, the materialist or ‘objective’ authenticity that exists in the Chinese Authorised Heritage Discourse is critiqued as inappropriate. Theoretically, this paper investigates people’s subjectivities and experiences in the process of ICH value-making, as well as identity-making. The results contribute not only to the establishment of an inclusive concept of authenticity in heritage studies, but also to the theorisation of existential authenticity in tourism studies. 相似文献

ABSTRACTHow are non-traditional sacred spaces experienced and sacralized? Non-traditional sacred sites offer a unique and useful perspective for exploring notions of sacralization, the process of making space sacred. This paper explores sacralization through an investigation of Unity of Fredericksburg, a non-traditional spiritual community that meets in an executive office building, using in-depth interviews with church leaders and members. These interview findings help shed light on how the process of sacralization occurs and suggest that it is the collective, emotional engagement with space that makes it sacred. Non-traditional houses of worship, though not imbued with conventional notions of “sacredness”, serve as functionally sacred for believers and the transiency of their sacred qualities provides a useful foundation for geographers of religion to explore how the sacred is made and experienced. 相似文献

本文结合松柏汉墓出土的木牍与张家山汉简《二年律令.秩律》中保存的西汉初年南郡属县的信息,利用文书研究的方法,对西汉初期南郡的属县情况进行了考察。通过比较,本文认为西汉吕后时期,南郡原辖16县,后经七国之乱,汉中央开始削弱诸侯国的地位,南郡接受了4个侯国,而失去了西陵、下隽、销3县。醴阳县曾一度改名为醴陵县,竟陵改名为显陵。西陵先并入衡山郡,后随之并入江夏郡,下隽则在吴芮长沙国废后封给了长沙王刘发。本文也对轪侯国的地望进行了分析,认为其应在湖北浠水附近。 相似文献

Since Mexican geography was initiated, its practice has been closely related to the objectives and activities of the hegemonic regimes and ruling activities within the territory. A short passage through our history might clarify why we have not been able to avoid conservatism, illustrate how cultural geography has developed in recent years, and explain why Mexican geographers are so dependent on theory from abroad. Historically, just like in other territories, mapping and teaching were the main practices developed with different targets and different contexts, in the evolution of the country. Since colonization in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, new discoveries and the display of new natural resources has demanded the knowledge and register of new places, especially on maps. This activity was primarily undertaken by foreigners: the Spaniards colonized and conquered new spaces and resources, seizing and exporting minerals like gold and silver, tropical products such as sugar cane, coffee and cacao, and animals such as the beaver (Wolf 1994). 相似文献

本文基于旅游真实性学说并借鉴数学集合思想构建文化遗产旅游客体真实性与主体真实性的集合式关系。文章首先基于研究载体将传统真实性学说纳入三种类别,在此基础上抽离出\"主体真实性\"和\"客体真实性\"并构建两者的集合式关系。为论证理论假设内容本文对故宫游客进行了问卷调查。结论如下:运用集合式关系揭示主、客体真实性的内在联系具有合理性;集合式关系存在逐级演进的五种类型并进一步分为主要关系和次要关系;游客真实体验度处于较高层次并与集合式关系相契合;最后基于集合式关系提出文化遗产新的开发思路。 相似文献

Abstract This paper examines how CCTV-assisted bird-watching mediates people's relationship with a particular representation of an animal world. By focusing on people's interpretations and responses to CCTV camera technology at three bird-watching sites around Scotland, it is argued that the use of CCTV technology represents a qualitatively different mode of engaging with birds which has bearing on how this mediated animal world appears in and to people's everyday lives. It is asserted that the spatial relations invoked in the act of looking at birds through a CCTV lens inscribe a conceptual hyper-separation between see-er and seen that serve to normalise a vision of humanity inherently separate from and dominant over the wildlife on screen. As a technologically mediated way of seeing, the paper explores the use of CCTV cameras as inscribing particular ‘ways of being’ that serve to define and limit people's conduct towards the birds on view. By drawing attention to the conservation discourses that support, and are supported by the use of CCTV-assisted bird-watching, it is argued that the notion of ‘keeping an eye on nature’ is embedded in a cultural agenda that assists with the construction of nature as tele-visual commodity. 相似文献

在世界遗产理论发展路程中,对遗产原真性及完整性的质疑和思考是推动理论不断丰富完善的一股重要动力。完整性适用于所有遗产地,整体保护政策正是对完整性这一命题的呼应和阐释。对遗产原真性的质疑主要表现在非物质文化遗产方面,特别是活态遗产,现在遗产界已经越来越认识到非物质遗产不能简单套用物质遗产的原真性,非物质文化遗产环境的原真性要素也可以表现为一种"演进中的原真性"。因质疑而思考,进而获得新知。这一途径启示我们,应以一种开放性的、持续完善的思维和态度来对待遗产事业。 相似文献

There is evidence to support the idea that moral action can be thought of in terms of expertise in a domain. This paper reviews work on the development of moral expertise across five levels, from novice to expertise. It addresses the role of habit in expertise and self-regulation strategies that signal when habitual action is not working and that respond with consciously guided action. It suggests moral skills one might need to acquire, both general and specific to the domain of GIS. 本文首先剖析工业遗产的原真性之内涵;其次选择9个典型工业遗产点进行问卷调查,获得游客对工业遗产原真性感知数据;分析表明,游客参与性、遗产和地方内涵揭示、消费者偏好、商品的工艺工业是影响游客真实性感知的主要因子;作者认为,在上海工业旅游中,各类主体对工业遗产原真性的忽视,导致工业遗产地在被改造再利用中呈现弱化原真性的倾向;工业遗产旅游活动中游客体验原真的活动不足,而且工业遗产地社区居民生活的真实性受到越来越多的干扰甚至消失。根据测评结果和调查发现的问题,作者提出获取工业遗产原真性感知最大化的策略,以期增强游客的旅游体验,推进工业旅游资源开发,更好地保护工业遗产。 相似文献
