The"Red Flag Reading Movement"of Shanghai youth is an important practice of strengthening youth ideological and political education in the period of building socialism in an all-round way.It is of great significance to establish the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field.This reading activity targeted at young people for seven years.From the initial stage of active participation of young people,to the stage that impacted due to national economic difficulties,and then to the climax in combination with the publication of Mao Zedong's works,a leadership mechanism with the Party committee as the core and close cooperation between the Communist Youth League,trade unions and other groups has been formed.At the same time,a multi-level steering committee has been established.Through the mechanism of ideological mobilization,organizational mobilization and typical guidance,the whole development process reflects the ideological guidance of the Communist Party of China to youth.The"Red Flag Reading Movement"has accumulated rich experience for the Party to carry out ideological and political work and provided practical enlightenment for strengthening youth training in the new era.
