U.S. Central Intelligence Agency's Paramilitary Actions in Tibet(1949-1969)

Based on American declassified documents and archives, this paper tries to open out a panorama of CIA paramilitary action in Tibet during years of 1949-1969. Those actions were an outcome of American policy to contain China by Tibetan separatist action as a part of U. S. cold war strategy, which met the needs of American Far East interests. These aids includes as follows: CIA offered training of intelligence and paramilitary skills for Tibetan separatists; CIA actualized mad harassing attack in Tibet; CIA supplied military materials and funds for Dalai lama Group; CIA developed cooperation with Indian Intelligence Bureau against China.
