| Abstract: | Based on comparative study on archaeological materials and historical texts, this paper addresses on the duration, administrative center, geographic distribution and history of the Dongting County during the Qing dynasty, and proposes that the Changsha County mentioned by late historians is the Dongting County indeed. |
