刘知几《史通》与明代史学

刘知几的《史通》问世以后 ,在唐宋两代均未得到应有的重视。明代中期以后 ,学者们开始注意这部著作 ,在对刘知几及《史通》发表毁誉兼存的评论的同时 ,对《史通》的整理与评注也逐渐展开 ,出现了陆深《史通会要》 ,李维桢、郭延年《史通评释》、王维俭《史通训诂》等著作 ,这使《史通》在明代中后期得以普遍传行 ,在其影响下 ,出现了与之相似的评史文章 ,对明代史学产生了深远的影响

Liu Zhiji's SHI TONG and Historical Studies in the Ming Dynasty

Shitong written by Liu Zhiji was not respected in the Tang dynasty and the Song dynasty. It was until middle Ming dynasty that the scholars paid attention to it.With the reviews about Liu Zhiji and Shitong being praised or blamed, scholars began to cleanup and annotate Shitong, and some works about Shitong came off, Such as Shitonghuiyao written by Lu Shen, Shitongpingshi written by Li Weizhen and Cuo Yannian, Shitongxungu written by Wang Weijian. Therefore Shitong became popular since Middle Ming dynasty. Under the influence of Shitong, there were some critical articles being similar to Shitong in the Ming Dynasty, Which brought far-reaching effect on the historiography of the Ming Dynasty.
