A Few more Words about the Geographical Environment |

Authors: | S. V. Kalesnik |

Abstract: | In reply to Yu. G. Saushkin [Soviet Geography, February 1966], the author contends that even major man-induced changes in the natural landscape, such as the creation of oases in deserts, do not produce “radical” changes in the structure of the landscape by affecting “all” its components. Kalesnik also differentiates between the man-altered natural environment and the man-created artificial, technological environment. |
